mcburg93I have about 30k in ammo now ranging from .22 556 308 3006 3030 .222 .40 and several others. I didnt think I would accumulate that much but somehow I have. I thought about selling some after watching people at gun shows pay three times what it is worth.

It's not the government causing this.FatHobbit;1418598 wrote:Homeland security? -

Lol ignorance is bliss. I shoot anywhere from 3-5k rounds when I go out shooting. I usually shoot three or four times a month. I guess you are right I am crazy.Fly4Fun;1418597 wrote:I love crazy people and this hysteria of buying up ammunition. -

They're not the cause, but they are stockpiling ammo too. Guess that makes them as crazy as the crazies.WebFire;1418606 wrote:It's not the government causing this. -

At first I read that as you shoot 3-5k rounds when you go hunting. lolmcburg93;1418609 wrote:Lol ignorance is bliss. I shoot anywhere from 3-5k rounds when I go out shooting. I usually shoot three or four times a month. I guess you are right I am crazy. -

No, but there is definitely a trickle down effect from the real crazies. Crazies start hoarding ammo. Then competition shooters start to see a shortage, so they overbuy. Then your average but frequent shooter starts to see the lack of ammo, so he buys a ton. Then your once a year shooter goes to buy ammo, sees there isn't much on the shelves, then buys everything in sight. I've never seen a lack of .22 ammo before. It's just purely a hoarding situation.WebFire;1418605 wrote:Buying a couple boxes of ammo for target practice makes me crazy? -

Supposedly they have a mass number of re-certs coming up.FatHobbit;1418610 wrote:They're not the cause, but they are stockpiling ammo too. Guess that makes them as crazy as the crazies. -

Yes, this is true. But this is also not calling all ammo buyers crazy, as F4F makes it sound.LJ;1418615 wrote:No, but there is definitely a trickle down effect from the real crazies. If you dont buy .22 at the store you are not going to buy it cheap at a gun show or from private people. I have seen bricks going for as high as $100. Its freaking rediculous.LJ;1418615 wrote:No, but there is definitely a trickle down effect from the real crazies. Crazies start hoarding ammo. That's insane. Like I said, I've never seen a .22 shortage before. Like I said, I think a lot of it is just people buying whatever is in stock.mcburg93;1418620 wrote:If you dont buy .22 at the store you are not going to buy it cheap at a gun show or from private people. Belly35Crazy ... Let get to reality... More people are buying weapons
Reason can very but the bottom line is with the increase in weapon sales so goes ammo.
People are protecting themselves from others and government and what may come in the future...
I buy because I like to shoot and compete someday soon ... Also I believe that as a gun owner I should be as proficient as possible with the weapon... -
WebFireIt's not just ammo and guns either. I ordered a custom made holster on January 7th. Their normal delivery time is around 6 weeks. Mine was just delivered TODAY.

Pick6Belly knows because I messaged him about it about a month ago, but I had to call 15 places around the Akron-Canton area just to find a box of .22 ammo. Its ridiculous.
-
gorocks99Never bought ammo before. Maybe a box of BBs once.

He didn't say people who buy guns are crazy. You seem to get offended quite a bit when it comes to guns.justincredible;1418602 wrote:I love people that throw around the word "crazy" whenever the topic of guns and/or ammo comes up.
