The Voice 2013

She's already defied the odds and appears to be the favorite to win. I don't disagree with you - I think she illustrates how weak this season is. But Usher - unlike the other coaches - has actually mentored and launched careers. My statement has more to do with Usher than Chamuel. If he can make Bieber a star you're a fool to bet against Chamuel.

AI has the contract all lined-up for their people, and after the show they soon hit the road to tour. It's a machine that capitalized on every opportunity to exploit the momentum. The Voice simply does not have that.

And I know you think the first two were "dime a dozen" R&B. Neither gives up anything to Danielle, and country is no easier or harder to make it than other genres. Danielle may mature and develop into something special, but right now she's also "dime a dozen". The only thing that differentiates her is being 16 and cute, but that's really not going to matter much after the show.

I think Danielle will get the vote from the teen girls and probably boys though, which I'm sure makes up a big part of the viewing audience.

    How's that?

    Good point.

Chamuel would've likely been the next lowest vote getter this week. iTunes always tells you how the vote is going.

Have you been watching? She's consistently getting huge reactions in-studio. Probably doesn't have as broad appeal as others, but very loyal, very vocal and obsessive fans.

Do I think she's the best or deserves to be here? No, but she definitely looks like the favorite. Besides, Danielle is going to lose votes to the Swon Brothers. And Chamuel will get plenty of the teen girl votes, the ones who aren't super popular or super pretty, or who just aren't country fans. She's the ugly duckling-underdog a lot of people are clearly pulling for.

    iTunes says otherwise.

People don't d/l ITunes multiple times.

No, but it takes a lot of downloads(which is a vote) to get in the top 10 of iTunes. If you pay attention to iTunes, you can tell who is going to go, and who is going to stay, especially when it gets down to the final 5 or 6. Also, if you are in the top 10 of iTunes, your iTunes vote total is multiplied by 10.

But it's not cumulative and you really never know how these shows go. Chamuel has a crazy fan base, and rabid fans usually is better for a singer than a larger much less passionate base, in the long-run if not on a show like this.

Chamuel's momentum has been building like a train every week (granted, it had a much longer way to go). Unless country voters are going to outnumber others by like 2 to 1, I think she has a leg-up this week. The only way Danielle might not win is with another country act in the final.

And Swon Brothers might, inexplicably, shock everyone.

LOL, regardless of the outcome I won't have to see Chamuel prancing around stage and squatting like a dog dropping a deuce any more...at least until next season when she makes a cameo.

The swon brothers have been getting better and better every week they might just end up pulling it out ya never know.

There is a cumulative iTunes vote that factors into the finale.

If anyone knocks off Danielle, it will be The Swon Brothers.

Well I guess that seals it then, unless it's really not that big of a weighting.

Lol. Gut better hope Sham-Wow wins, cause you're full on retard.

Huh? All I said was I think she's the favorite. I don't think it would be a huge shocker for any of the 3 to win, although Swon Brothers would probably be more surprising than the others. Splitting the country vote presumably puts them at a fairly significant disadvantage to Chamuel

Yes, I've been watching, and her being the favorite is your opinion only...and lol at you thinking she's getting any more of an "in-studio" reaction than anyone else. She's a novelty, and will be forgotten a week after the show's finale ;)

Not sure about Swon's first song choice.
  • Fred Garvin
I like the Swon Brothers, but I just wish the other one would sing lead once in a while. It's always the bigger one singing lead, and the skinny one just jumping in on the chorus. I don't think it is fair that the main brother has a dedicated back up singer.

Yeah, I noticed that too. To be fair, they were always singing everything in harmony for the first several weeks, annoyingly so. Now it seems fairly clear that his brother plays guitar and sings back-up more than a full-fledged duo.

Because he is the weaker of the 2 singers.

    This.

I'm a big Danielle fan, but my vote for song-of-the-season goes to the Swan Bros rendition of Danny's Song...outfuckingstanding

Looks like it will come down to Danielle and the Swon Brothers. I really didn't think the Swon Bros. had much of a chance, but they've come on strong in recent weeks, but I still say Danielle wins.
  • ernest_t_bass
    Who won?
