The Voice 2013

to sing in front of millions of people? The music business is over saturated with singers, she was clearly very successful before she was on the voice regardless if you've heard of her. There are grammy winners I've never heard of, so to say you haven't made it or been successful because we may not know your name is ridiculous. I'm pretty sure there are players in all major sports you haven't heard of, would you say they haven't made it because you don't know who they are?vball10set;1447349 wrote:Then why is she on The Voice? -

She just put out her first single the other day. Not a bad song -

You don't go on a show like this just to have an audience, you go on it to get discovered or to revive a stagnant career....and who in the hell said she wasn't successful because I hadn't heard of her? btw, if she was "making it" she wouldn't need a show like this, amirite?Raw Dawgin' it;1447361 wrote:to sing in front of millions of people? ernest_t_bassAmber and Holly going home. They should, anyway.
-
ernest_t_bassRetract on Amber. Solid performance. Holly and someone else.
-
se-alumI think this is the week the Swon Brothers go. I'm a country fan, and they don't impress me in the least.
-
gutLOL, really really bad call on Amber. Seems like they usually put one of the night's best performances last.
I liked the Swon brothers' choice, but I think at this stage we see how the format is limited. They are definitely kind of handcuffed constantly having to harmonize, but this show is about vocalists, not groups.
Michelle Shamuel is actually decent, provided you listen and not watch her performance. Every time she performs - and it doesn't matter what the mood at that particular point of a song is or calls for - she ALWAYS looks like she's angry and pained trying to squeeze out an oversized turd. But it appears she might have a really strong following.
Danielle was solid again. Her voice just always seems "sharp" to me. I think as she matures her tone will definitely get much better (not that it isn't good now)
My picks to go home would be Holly and probably Judith. I just don't care for Judith - she makes me feel like I'm watching a Vegas lounge singer, and that's fairly typical of the caliber of her performance. Judith should go just based on her hair alone. That was utterly ridiculous (like a dead fox clinging to her head), but fits with the whole showgirl thing. -
gutOh, and I thought Sarah was going to kill that song. I thought she kind of missed, though. Like she was trying to hard, forcing it. The anger/disgust was more theatrical than genuine.
-
Raw Dawgin' itI'm all for any country singer getting the boot. This show has turned into the next country star. Miss Piggy, aka Holly, needs to go home.

Country was definitely Blake's plan this year. He's never really had a country artist that was good, so he made sure this year to go country heavy on his team.Raw Dawgin' it;1449216 wrote:I'm all for any country singer getting the boot. ernest_t_bassJudith and Sarah. Fuck that. I don't like either, but hate Holly Tucker more.
-
gutSarah was easily the best singer in the whole competition. But what can I say, it's not like I voted.
Absolutely amazed that Holly advanced. Adam agrees. -

Lol. No. -

What bullshit. The songs they sang weren't great, but they're definitely better than Holly Tucker and the faggy Swon Brothers.ernest_t_bass;1449432 wrote:Judith and Sarah. Fuck that. I don't like either, but hate Holly Tucker more. -
Raw Dawgin' itAlso - Blake Shelton's new song is one of the worst things i've ever heard. He's garbage. I also don't get how people like country music.

Gotta disagree. Blake is far from garbage, and people like it the same way anyone likes any other music. -

Despised it at first, but it grew on me. Seeing him perform it live made me like it more. I'm a big fan of Blake.Raw Dawgin' it;1449595 wrote:Also - Blake Shelton's new song is one of the worst things i've ever heard. He's garbage. I also don't get how people like country music. -

Same I didn't like it at first but it's grown on me. Same with Aldean's song 1994 -
Raw Dawgin' itI think Blake is a cool guy, I just think he makes horrible music. I'd really like to see Usher win, he's been the best coach in my opinion.
-
ernest_t_bassPretty sweet Seger song by Swon Bros.
-
ernest_t_bassSasha, you're stupid for doing Whitney.
-
ernest_t_bassAmber may go home bc of Firework.
-
se-alumThis will come down to Michelle and Danielle. Danielle should win, but the Bieber vote scares me.
-
ernest_t_bassDanielle will sell millions regardless.
