Can we skip the life in prison and just put this kid before a firing squad?
Wasted tax dollars.
Side note...how the hell was he allowed to wear that fucking shirt? -

Also, he's clearly mentally unstable. -
gutI read he wore a button-down shirt into court and then removed it to show his custom t-shirt.
Mentally unstable, not sure...think he is just evil. My first reaction was he's putting forth a mental incompetence defense, but this was at his sentencing (I think) where he got 3 life terms. -
sportchamppsDude is clearly either evil or insane or both
-
sportchamppsFrom what I read he was wearing a shirt very similar when arrested for the killings

Evidently they brought in a psychologist who agreed he was clearly unstable but they ruled him competent to stand trial anyway.gut;1409228 wrote:Mentally unstable, not sure
Article states he also evidently gave a colorful speech in court.
He's looney, but the insanity defense is rarely granted in court."This hand that pulled the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to the memory. F--- all of you." -
sleeperEligible for parole after 26 years. What a joke. Make it a 400 year sentence in solitary confinement.

Midstate01Before his sentence, Lane, wearing a white T-shirt with the word "killer" written across the front, said: "This hand that pulled the trigger that killed your sons now masturbates to the memory. F--- all of you."

Somehow I doubt he'll live even 26 weeks. If his actions don't already have him in the cross-hairs his mouth is sure to piss-off the wrong dude.sleeper;1409236 wrote:Eligible for parole after 26 years. What a joke. Make it a 400 year sentence in solitary confinement. -

For someone his age, it would likely be pointless. His mind is already fucked. I don't think any amount of punishment will reverse his actions. The economical thing, IMO, would be execution. The humane thing is just tossing him in jail until he dies. Regardless, "rehabilitation" for someone like this is for the most part pointless.sleeper;1409236 wrote:Eligible for parole after 26 years. Hopefully he meets Bubba in the shower room every night for the rest of his life. :thumbup:gut;1409240 wrote:Somehow I doubt he'll live even 26 weeks. If his actions don't already have him in the cross-hairs his mouth is sure to piss-off the wrong dude. -
justincredibleYeah, this kid is in for a rude awakening when he gets to prison. He will be passed around like the bitch he is. No doubt.

This is only if he gets put with the general population, which he may not.justincredible;1409247 wrote:Yeah, this kid is in for a rude awakening when he gets to prison. He will be passed around like the bitch he is. No doubt. -

What part is the joke? The guy himself, or the sentence? Pretty sure they got him for the maximum sentence possible.DeyDurkie5;1409250 wrote:what a joke. -

The fact that the tax payers are on the line for someone who should be taken care of with a .223 round at the going rate of $.60. -

Blame lawmakers then. They're the ones who wrote the limitations on when execution can and cannot be used.bases_loaded;1409254 wrote:The fact that the tax payers are on the line for someone who should be taken care of with a .223 round at the going rate of $.60. -

I'm not trolling. IMO, He is a dickhead killer. IMO, He should be executed.bases_loaded;1409266 wrote:So far you support lawmakers and the rights of dickhead killers.

But you're blaming the wrong people for the travesty that he "only" got 3 life sentences. He was a minor when the offense occurred, hence no death sentence.
You have to look at it from a neutral perspective. In cases like this, it's hard to do.He is a textbook case of deviant behavior. It's not like he caught his wife cheating and beat her to death out of rage...he randomly went and killed a pack of innocent people. No punishment is really suitable for something like that. His lack of remorse indicates so. I guess that's the criminology degree in me doing the talking.
If removing him from the world is what you want, fine, but don't blame HIM...blame the system that put him there.
edit: elaborated, fixed my quotes since i put them in the wrong place -
