All those hotels are booked solid? Gee, I wonder if those people staying in the hotel will want to go out to eat.sportchampps;1383421 wrote:Well I looked into hotels and troy is booked solid for Friday and Saturday
Nah, they probably will bring every bit of food with them. /Gut'd -
dlazzTroy isn't that great. Neither is Mumford & Sons or camping.

vdubb96I live in Mercer Co. close to Troy. I won't be attending. Hope this helps!

Troy is going to be a mess that weekend. Much like during that stupid fucking festival every June. Someone remind me when it is so I can request off work and not have to venture into Miami county.ccrunner609;1383851 wrote:Where is the concert going down? I live 1/2 mile from the bikepath.
As for you Justin.....blow me. -
sportchamppsCC, It will be at Troy Stadium and camping is supposed to be near the river and close to downtown restaurants.

And Phish is a poor man's Grateful Dead.Tiernan;1383297 wrote:Poor man's Phish. Enjoy slackers.
I believe there will be 12 bands total, plus camping. Several friends went last year when it was in a small town out here near Chicago. They said it was a blast. That is cheaper than one night at a decent hotel and you get 12 bands, camping and all the smells of drunken slackers you can get. 'Merica! -
SportsAndLadyAre tickets expected to sell out quickly?
Do I need to buy my ticket right at 11 tomorrow? -

Actually, you're wrong.Falcons53;1384622 wrote:And Phish is a poor man's Grateful Dead.
Mumford & Sons, Phish, and Grateful Dead are all terrible.
#realtalk -
sportchamppsI would recommend buying them at 11 tomorrow.
I know music is subjective but how can you not appreciate The Grateful Dead and the musical talent they had. I could understand not likening Phish since they are a jam band and that isn't everyone's thing or Mumford because of them being a niche band but all three bands have some amazing musicians. -
GoChiefssportchampps;1384719 wrote:but how can you not appreciate The Grateful Dead and the musical talent they had.
Because their "music" is boring as hell. -
sportchamppsIf you don't enjoy jam bands I could understand. BTW Mumford is no where near a jam band.
-
friendfromlowryShit, I do have to work that weekend. If anyone needs medical treatment, I got your back.

A little? Friggin' a lot.
I won't buy tickets because it would feel like "camping" in my back yard.SportsAndLady;1384630 wrote:Are tickets expected to sell out quickly?
The acoustics will allow you to hear the concert pretty well anywhere down by the river. Just the PA system from the stadium reflects loudly off the downtown buildings.
I'm sure if you get anywhere on the bike path close-to the stadium/ice rink you'll hear everything.
Just forget about parking anywhere close. -
