    It doesn't sound very good.

Discussed my cable rates with time warner a few days ago and instead of paying 105 a month for cable with hbo, cinemax, and stars with roadrunner I am now paying 85 a month. Hope after my year contract I can get it even lower.

Nice deal. Mines only about $40.00 a month for dang near every channel, internet, and phone. Only because I have a contact there.

Knee surgery taking longer to recover than originally thought. Nice to not have to go to work, but it's effecting my damn bank account.

I didnt want to tell the worst part of the deal though lol. Today my nephew told me since he works for dish network I can get all channels for free and free instalation if I buy the boxes. I can get it as long as he works there. Not sure what the boxes cost but figured for all channels being free it would pay for itself in a few years.

What kind of surgery you have? I just had a partial replacement back in december. I am still having issues with it. Dr said I was to young to have the total replacement but since this one is still causing me problems he said I will most likely need the full replacement now.

Torn meniscus. Had to remove about 40% of it. Scraped out a little bit of arthritis as well, that's what's giving me the issues now. The swelling where they scraped that out keeps coming back. I'm probably doing a little more on than I should be though. Gonna just take it pretty easy the next month so I can get back to work.

I get Sick & Disability pay through work, which is about 60-70% of my pay, waiting on Workers Comp to kick in as well, that will make up for it.

Hope it gets better I had mine scoped in highschool to clean up my miniscus. I think that is why I am having all the trouble now with it.

Yep you have to buy your boxes. And a little thing people don't think about is having to pay for a Tech to come out if you have any issues. With TWC a Tech coming out for any issue is free.

Would you get the same deal if you bought the boxes from eBay or something? You can find them rather cheap on there.

I honestly didnt even think about that. I will ask him and find out.

Just a quick search for example:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Dish-Network-322-Dual-Tuner-Receiver-new-no-lease-no-balance-ready-/321054445305?pt=US_Satellite_TV_Receivers&hash=item4ac0560ef9

Damn that is way cheaper then through the company. I think he said it was 158 for 1 box without the dvr through dish network. Thanks for the idea.

I'm being 100% serial here. Would losing weight help your knees? Got a plan?

Actually been doing the weight loss thing. Down 35 pounds. But no, this had nothing to do with my weight. My foot slipped while I was doing a job at work and my knee just twisted in a weird position when it slipped, causing the tear.

Congrats. Keep it up. I'd do anything to drop 20-30, but I despise cardio.

Nice. We're paying $50 just for our internet from TWC. DirecTV is another $100 but I plan on canceling that ASAP. If they give me a healthy discount when I call to cancel I may keep it for a little while longer. I'd love to knock our internet bill down a bit as well.

I did the whole "I'm going to cancel" with DirecTV around August. Got our bill down to $75 a month from $105, free NFL Sunday Ticket, and then the movies channels that they offer new customers for 3 or 6 months, I don't remember which. I also got that locked in for only a one year contract instead of the two.

I'm still at home so I have limited influence on the subject but I keep trying to argue that we'd be better off cutting the television part of the cable, going for a higher tiered internet plan and then adding Hulu Plus or something for TV and supplementing that with Amazon/iTunes subscriptions of shows not on Hulu/Netflix/Prime. Would probably still save a ton of money.
