If they tried to lock me in to another contract I'd tell them to piss off.GoChiefs;1364899 wrote:I did the whole "I'm going to cancel" with DirecTV around August. Got our bill down to $75 a month from $105, free NFL Sunday Ticket, and then the movies channels that they offer new customers for 3 or 6 months, I don't remember which. I also got that locked in for only a one year contract instead of the two. -

This is sort of my plan. We have amazon prime already. We really only watch 3 current shows so we could buy a season pass on amazon for Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, and Walking Dead for about the price of one month of DTV. Also, we eliminate the time suck of flipping through channels watching whatever is on at the time. And we stop getting hammered with advertising for shit products that we don't need. Would probably still save a ton of money. -

I'd say that's the only way they'll do it. The prices they gave me are good for a year, and that's all my contract is for, so I'm good with that. Plus, my only other option would be no cable, Massillon Cable, or Dish Network. Fuck Dish Network, and Massillon Cable is still around $65 a month, and they are assholes. So I don't plan on going anywhere else anyways.justincredible;1364904 wrote:If they tried to lock me in to another contract I'd tell them to piss off. -

Then I guess they'll lose my business completely. Doesn't really matter to me, I'd rather cancel. I just told my wife that if I could get a much cheaper rate I'd consider keeping it.GoChiefs;1364909 wrote:I'd say that's the only way they'll do it. I wish I could drop them, but they are the best option for this area at the moment. -
