Man executes two teens for breaking into home on Thanksgiving

I didn't say it made everything OK -- all along I have said that the man handled the situation poorly after the initial shots -- but the severe emotional distress he was obviously under and the terror-filled nights he was confronted with every time he went to sleep certainly help you understand why he might have done it. It does for me at least. This guy was put in a terrible situation and must have thought there would never be an end to his torture. So, when he shot the two intruders and saw them lying there, he decided to finish them off before they ever did the same to him.

I get that we don't live in the wild west anymore. But you know what, this guy had enough of this shit. What will happen to him, I don't know. But I hope God has mercy on him.

Then why do you hope he gets off easy? Sounds to me like you think it's ok. You also seemed to put a lot of words in his mouth. Where did he say he was terrified? I think there are a lot of assumptions going on here.

There are a lot of assumptions going on from both sides of the argument.

Bottom line: I think he felt he had no other choice but to finish these people off, as he admitted to the police. Maybe as they lay there on his floor, he all of a sudden felt that he could still be in danger, that they might awake and pull out guns. It was dark, he was probably shaken and your mind can certainly play tricks on you. Who really knows. I feel bad for the guy, though, I do know that. I feel bad for him because, had his house not been invaded by robbers so many times, none of this would ever have happened. I don't know the man, but I doubt he ever in a million years had thought about murdering somebody before this sad turn of events.

It's a sad situation all around.

They tortured him and targeted him, and it's not good," Lange said. "If you've been broken into one time, that would be enough. But it's terrible."

I would like to know more about that. If they are referring to this being the same people breaking in every time, then there would be charges pressed. Does seem odd.

How do you know he did? My guess is you don't.

It's pretty obvious that he was targeted multiple times because
    1) it was easy
    2) the fucking moron kept $10k in cash lying around.

That's all practically hanging up a sign that says "come rob me". He's obviously not real bright and probably barely competent, if not legally retarded.

how unbelieveably racist of you, but hardly a surprise. Just another example of the primary motivation for the opposition to our first African American President.

What he admitted was that it pissed him off when the chic laughed at him for his gun jamming, so he put a gun to her chin and blew her brains out. That is point blank. If you're that close, you aren't scared of anything.

Also, not sure that it was dark. I realize it was supposedly a basement, but it was the middle of the day and obviously he could see clearly enough to shoot them coming down the steps.

Isn't that the guy's attorney being quoted? Thought I read that the guy has claimed to have been robbed multiple times, but he only filed one report. His lawyer certainly has motivation to oversell whatever had previously happened.

you suffering from lack of reading comprehension. the ten thousand was not in cash but
"Smith's brother, Bruce Smith, said about $10,000 worth of guns, electronic gear and cash were stolen in October."
and Mr Smith was hardly retarded or lacking in knowledge of security measures
"Smith's brother, Bruce Smith, told the Minneapolis Star Tribune told the Star Tribune his brother had retired after a career as a security officer with the U.S. State Department.

I like this part: " Before pit bulls it was Rottweilers, before Rottweilers it was Dobermans, and before them German Shepherds. Each breed in it’s order were deemed too vicious and unpredictable to be around people. Each time people wanted laws to ban them."

The breakdown between pit bulls and rottweilers is substantial over this 7-year period. From 2005 to 2011, pit bulls killed 128 Americans, about one citizen every 20 days, versus rottweilers, which killed 29; about one citizen every 88 days.

Nope, when I look at the POTUS I don't see an African American I see failure. The fact you constantly refer to him in such manner only serves to illustrate that it's his only noteworthy accomplishment.

Of course a person with that racist attitude could never acknowledge the great leadership of our first African American President.

I don't know if that's really statistically significant. There has to be what, at least several hundred thousand of each breed probably? That's a pretty small percentage difference.
