I lol'd at that, too. Some people really have to grasp at straws to have self-worth, I guess.WebFire;1302667 wrote:And LOL at ccrunner, a cross country runner, for calling people pussies because they don't run fast miles.
As for me, good question. I've gotten down to roughly my college weight...but don't have anything near my overall conditioning from them, so I'd say anywhere between 7 minutes and infinity. -

Sprints or sprints while pushing a heavy object (weighted Prowler). Running a mile, to me (and many others), is worthless....but to each their own.ernest_t_bass;1302673 wrote:Let me guess. Sprint/jog/walk/sprint/walk/crawl/walk-on-hands/sprint. -

I understand what and why you are saying that and the documentation that comes with it. I actually need to run and run a lot for my “hobby”. Mind you that I don’t “run” in season and not more than once a week off season. I need the cardio and enjoy the low heart rate that comes with it. I’d rather swim or bike or HIIT. </SPAN>BR1986FB;1302679 wrote:Sprints or sprints while pushing a heavy object (weighted Prowler). It's all good. The sprints are a form of HIIT.Sonofanump;1302724 wrote:I understand what and why you are saying that and the documentation that comes with it. derek bomarjust ran 13.1 Sunday... around 1:50. Ain't bad for a 240lb guy. If I was just running 1 I think I could dip into about 6:15-6:25 range.

Midstate01My buddy Rob Meyers who ran for osu and team USA is trying to run a sub 4 minute mile for the 10th straight year. He's attempted it twice and both times came up a couple seconds short. Trying again in a week or so I believe. I can remember my senior year, his freshman year at osu, we were having soccer two a days. When we started at 7:30 am, he ran by, and when we finished our first session and came back from breakfast at 11, he ran past us and stopped. We all just kinda stood there, like, no way!

I'd guess you could do one in 8:15 -
Ironman92Hey CC609.....I had a 8 year old girl do the mile today in 6:54...she's pretty big into the gymnastics and only one 6th grade boy has ran it quicker this week. She beat our 3rd grade girl's record by 32 seconds!
Your team do well at districts? -

Her Dad is a newer board member and I took several kids from school to the Highland Co Elementary Mile....she was the 2nd girl done but she stopped for about 20 seconds to help her school mate that was puking...lol
My girls snuck the last qualifying spot to advance for just the 2nd time in school history....33 schools in the race but still the weakest district by a ton. We'll get dead last at regionals by 50 points. -

1:55 is pretty nice... my best was like a 1:58-9(I just remember being so happy I had finally broke 2 minutes lol) I was more a 5k/10k type guy. My prime was cut short due to a torn meniscus my junior year at CC regionals that I really never let fully heal and then a torn achilles during my first race my senior year. I love CC a lot more than track so I quit running and just had fun my senior year of college.ccrunner609;1303082 wrote:Said is by far the fastest on here in his prime. National caliber CC runner, something dumb like a 1:55 half mile.
And yes, I believe the family will be in it but I am not jogging it. I ran a 19:11 5k tonight and was holding back.
Also was only able to run a 5:19 mile today... guess I wasn't as fast as I thought lol. -

i was joking on how long it would take to run 1 mile, if you stayed at 23mph, not the 60 yard dash time. -
