If you see a person from TV out i public....

  • BigAppleBuckeye
I mentioned a few in my earlier post, but here is a list of celebs I have seen out and about:

    Will Smith
    Dustin Hoffman
    Paul Rudd
    Heidi Klum
    Tim Robbins
    Paul Giamatti (my neighbor)
Marc Bell (a.k.a. "Marky Ramone) - lives in my building
    Elijah Wood
    Danny Aiello
    Drea de Matteo
    Carmen Electra
    Rachael Ray
    Kerri Russell
    Paulie Shore
    Mark McGrath
    Billy Joe Armstrong

Also have seen numerous pro and OSU athletes, really too many to mention. Orlando Pace partied at my house my junior year at OSU (there was also a wolf in my house that night, but thats a completely different story haha).

Being neighbors with Paul Giamatti = best on the list.

Pete Weber would stomp Mike Aulby's ****ing ass.
Pete Weber is a ***ing ass.
    Earl Athony is better
Earl Anthony was better. He has been dead for a long time.

I've crossed lanes with a lot of pro bowlers at the Pro-Am....Mike Aulby truely is one of the nicest and friendliest guys in the game. Pete Weber....ehhhh not so much.

Aulby ranks 8th all time with 29 titles.....and is the only bowler to own both the PBA's Triple Crown and an ABC Masters.

I know nothing about pro bowling but I watched that video clip and that Weber guy is a total douche. Guaranteed he has a photo album full of nude pictures of himself that he flips through every night before going to sleep.

I had a picture with Michelle Beadle, but it was on my old phone. We played a game of horse behind my fraternity house, too. I have proof from a youtube video Sears uploaded for the service project we did. She seemed pretty down-to-earth.

I've also played pickup basketball with 11 NBA players and two future-NBA players, all from UK. Some were assholes, some were nice guys.

Which is precisely why I posted it. I'd rather watch Egypt play Chad in kickball than fucking bowling, but there is no denying from watching that intense video that Pete Weber would not only beat Mike Aulbey, but also crack him over the head with the ball and eat the b*tch.

    So?

The most unexpected encounter with a famous person was a few years ago when I ran into Mandy Patinkin. Keep in mind this was when I was living in Nome, Alaska, so it was about as unexpected as it gets. Turns out his son was living in town at the time and he and his wife were up visiting. Very nice guy. Also met Larry Csonka in Nome. He lives in Anchorage though and was up fishing, so not totally out of the blue.

With all the reality shows going on up here, I've met or know a TON of those guys (not that they're stars by any means, but they're on tv.) From Deadliest Catch, the Northwestern and Time Bandit usually dock here in Cordova for the summer so those guys are around town for a few months. I know several of the troopers on Alaska State Troopers very well, one of which is married to a good friend of mine.

Let me guess, Patrick Patterson was a super nice guy. John Wall was a $^#%. That's what I've heard from my UK contacts.
  • GOONx19
^ Wall, Orton, and surprisingly Josh Harrellson were all pretty bad about it. I've never played with Patterson. Miller, Hayes, Cousins, and Teague all stood out for being super personable guys.
  • Manhattan Buckeye
Not surprised about either Harrellson or Orton. Teague was known as a pretty cool guy - as was Kanter (not that he ever actually played at UK).

I've heard he's a really nice person, and deep. I've always wanted to meet him.

    He's awesome in Homeland

He was great in Criminal Minds. Not sure if I really remember him from much else. He seems like he'd be a nice guy.

My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.

I would think a lot of people would remember him from this.

    EDIT: And I believe it's "Inigo." ;)

Best character on the show, imo. At least, the best acted character lol.

Holy shit. I didn't realize that was him. It's been a while since I've watched Princess Bride so I had to do a google image search.

I have been misspelling things all day today. What's really sad is I looked up how to spell it and STILL couldn't get it right.

He also played 88 Keys in Dick Tracy.

Yeah, I have seen him around a few times, and he ate dinner at our neighborhood Italian spot two tables away from our wife and I. He looks equally unattractive and grumpy in real life haha

Cousins reminds me of Rasheed Wallace, who is the one Carolina player I have always kind of had a fondess for (most Duke fans hate the guy, but he was a stellar player in Portland in the early 2000s and I just loved his I-know-I'm-good-and-I-know-you-know-it-too-so-I-am-going-to-fucking-show-you attitude. It was great to watch against the Lakers in the playoffs. He was the epitome of smooth). Cousins presents himself as a mean son of a bitch on the court and looks like he'd be a prick off it, but, as you allude to, I get the idea that, like I've heard is the case with Rasheed, he'd just be a really chill, hilarious person to have a few beers with.

You're married to Paul Giamatti? I think you win this thread.

Edit: Was busy here at work and see I was already beat to this response. Nevermind.
