Bullying is a huge issue. Constantly hearing about it on the news, we get tons of paperwork on it sent home from our daughter's school, and they recently had anti-bullying spirit week. It's bad enough when kids do it to each other, but at least they may have a chance to stand up for themselves.

Yes, and some legislation is trying to take care of it... but they can't retroactively deal with it. Also, I think any laws regarding bullying are going to be very tough to pass because of the potential infringement on 1st Amendment speech.

Given the recent history of similar bullying events, I think we can expect the husband and wife to be ostracized and for them and their children to now be on the receiving end of harassment.

has to be some type of law broken here..disorderly conduct, intimidation, harrassment, something

This is weird. I have an aunt and uncle named Vicki and William Bailey that live in Ohio too. Almost shit my pants when I saw their names. (It's not them)

All I can tell you his profession will not be supportive of his action ...
But there are professions that are supportive of grown men making fun of handicapped kids? Thanks for the in-depth research.

As for the topic, oh look, SVF derailed another thread.

Hey now. I can't think of a single adult I know back in Wayne County that would do this. Teens? Sure. Teens are stupid and cruel.

Wasn't there some running joke at one time on here about a mentally handicapped girl who worked at Wendy's? Maybe it was him.

I know I always defend my children by making fun and mocking other children. I especially do it to handicapped ones.

How did I derail the thread? Just because I said I don't agree with breaking his kneecaps vigilante style? How can you be in the medical field and be so obtuse? SMFH.

Well, you do seem to turn A LOT of threads into arguments. You also always have to get the last word in. I don't necessarily agree that you derailed this one, but I see his point.

This should be interesting. Will he let you state that he turns everything into an argument, or will he argue and prove your point?

Technically, I agree with you. I think getting news coverage on it and turning this guy into a neighborhood pariah is the best option, and it sounds like that's what they did.

Giving him any opportunity to play the victim card is not a good move. Neither is getting locked up for assault.

    Paradox. Mind blowt.

It's not a coincidence. Almost always, it's when I offer a different opinion than the OC masses. And, not surprisingly, my viewpoint is logic based vs emotional responses from the rest. I'm also usually getting attacked or debated by multiple posters, which leads to the appearance of me doing more arguing than the average poster. It's always three or four or more on one, like right now. Responding intelligently just makes it worse, it seems, so I'll just say GFY. Ok?
