Ah, so you like hoodwinking people to think you are more intelligent rather than accepting your own reality? No wonder you subscribe to a religion, you don't like reality.

And we come to the part of the conversation where I have to bust out the "You're as bad as the people who believe this...." When someone brought up the mutually exclusive thing. I said that I thought science/religion complemented each other. I never said that God created contacts. I did say that God put forth the tools (could be science) to help us live our lives.

If everything was perfect, there really wouldn't be a point to life would there be?

In the bible, Jesus heeled a blind man as well as a lame man. Maybe he simply put a piece glass in front of the man's eyes to help him see better and gave the lame man a crutch to help him move better. You can't prove that it didn't happen, the same same that I can't prove that it did. The difference is that I BELIEVE that he was able to cure them and you don't.

You're right, I hate reality. I pop some shrooms until the colors change just to get through the day.

It's pretty sad that you actual believe god created contacts. Prove it. Oh you can't? Then you cannot make that claim. How does it feel to be believe in a theory based on fraudulent logic?

It really is no different. People want to believe there is something more to life after they die because their lives are boring, they are poor, and they are stupid. It's a nice fairy tale designed to make you feel good about your pathetic life.

    Enjoy!

Explain because otherwise what you're saying is just babble.

How does science go against his argument that a god is very unlikely to exist and the chances of the god of any particular religion existing as they are described is even more minute. Please, show us the science.

Put it in quotes all you like, next time you have a research paper published in a science journal, or publish a paper with NASA, let me know.

Until then, please keep acting like you are smarter than everyone, it makes me laugh.

I'm not smarter than everyone, but I'm definitely smarter than someone who actually tries to justify Noah's ark. LOL

Go publish that in NASA's journal

Also, keep that security blanket wrapped around you. A weak mind needs it, otherwise it collapses on itself.

The most ignorant statment I've seen in awhile.

You are really trying to say that you can't be religious and successful/smart at the same time? You are truly a moron.

Yes. That is exactly what I am saying.

I said the exception, not the rule. Most intelligent people, when they reach the age of reason, grow out of the illogical, irrational fraudulent belief system that is religion.

Just keep your head in the sand jmog. Keep telling yourself that god is taking care of you and that god watches over you. I know deep down inside you know its fraud.

Do you actually read what you type or even think about it or just blurt it out?

Use google, look up any research, anything to back up what you are saying.

A recent study said that 31% of scientists did not believe in God, 31% said they were not sure, and 38% said they do believe in some type of supreme being.

    http://www.gallup.com/poll/23470/who-believes-god-who-doesnt.aspx

75% of people who make $150k+/yr believe in God. I hardly think that 75% is the definition of "exception".

Yeah that same study, if you actually would have read it instead of reading a biased excerpt about it, says that the 38% of scientists have either a mental disability or are liars for political gain.

Are you trying to get jmog riled up or have you changed your position? You said yesterday (or perhaps the day before) that you didn't know whether God existed. In this post, the statement that jmog's belief is "fraud" is in conflict with the earlier statement.

Given all the current evidence and given how churches are exploiting weak minds for profit, one can say without a doubt that religion is fraud. If Jmog is getting riled up by my comments, perhaps its the logical part of his being that is conflicted with the part that is weak. Pressure works and it works well, how does it feel jmog?

Nice attempt to move the goalposts, but the discussion is on belief in God, not religion. Not the same, not remotely.

I'm curious jmog, why you don't publish religious works in your journals at work? Like, publish an article explaining how the red sea parted or how a woman is created from a man's rib?

Such a hypocrite. Sorry, you've been called out, this may have to go to the basement.

So I'm a hypocrite because I don't publish religious works in my scientific research papers?

Use the logic you are so adamant that you have.

I work for a company. The company pays me X amount of dollars to do scientific research on specific topics. The company happens to be a company interested in combustion emissions, environmental studies, efficient industrial heating applications, etc. The company is not a religious company. If I spent my time getting paid by them to do religious research then my job could be in jeopardy would it not?

Now, if I worked for a company like Answers in Genesis, then I could do scientific religious research and publish it.

See how that works? I do research on what I'm paid to do research for.
