You need to find a theater that has a bar.</SPAN>Curly J;1218435 wrote:This will only be the 6th movie we've been out to see in our 12 years together. -

No shit. I heard they have some upscale theaters in Kansas City. Dinner, drinks, service, and recliners during the movie. The Wife's step sister and her husband goes to one out there. -
Trueblue23I saw Spiderman in 2D
I'm not a big fan of 3D at all. -
hoops23Spider-Man has biggest Tuesday release ever... Surpassed Transformers.
-
bigdaddy2003
That is pretty tight. I'm sure it wont be an empty theater on Friday but I'm going to try and catch the first showing. Hopefully it's not too crowded.hoops23;1218487 wrote:Spider-Man has biggest Tuesday release ever... Surpassed Transformers. -
hoops23This summer is going to have some crazy box office totals... Hunger Games, Avengers, Spider-Man, Batman... I know I'm missing another movie or two?

hoops23BTW, our theater is doing a Batman marathon on July 19th starting with Batman Begins at 6ish PM... They're running BB, TDK, then the TDKR at midnight all for 1 ticket and discounted concessions.
A few of us are thinking about doing it. -

I noticed that. I'm thinking about doing it.hoops23;1218549 wrote:BTW, our theater is doing a Batman marathon on July 19th starting with Batman Begins at 6ish PM... They're running BB, TDK, then the TDKR at midnight all for 1 ticket and discounted concessions.

Are you near the area?bigdaddy2003;1218553 wrote:I noticed that. I'm thinking about doing it. -

If you are referring to Sandusky. I noticed a long time ago during a thread about where the members were from you mentioned Sandusky or Norwalk. I couldn't recall which but once you mentioned that you went to a Cinemark Stadium and that is the theater I go to most I just put 2 and 2 together.hoops23;1218555 wrote:Are you near the area? -

Yeah, Sandusky..bigdaddy2003;1218558 wrote:If you are referring to Sandusky. I noticed a long time ago during a thread about where the members were from you mentioned Sandusky or Norwalk. Glad we finally got a new theater... The two pervious were showing their age, especially the old one right next to the new one... Funny thing is, we were supposed to get two new theaters.
The new one we have now is Cinemark (obviously) which was the old one by Wal*Mart...
The old one next to the new cinemark (Carmike I think?) was supposed to open a new theater on that land by Menards but their funding fell through I guess. -

Yes, I'm not from Sandusky but it's the theater I go to most because it's nice and I generally go to Chipotle before or after the movie. I used to go to the one by Wal Mart and the old one next to the new one all of the time until Norwalk put their theater in. I still go to Norwalk once in a while if I decide to go and have a shorter time window as it's only 15 minutes from my house. I've had it in my head for a while that I wanted to buy the building next to Wal Mart and turn it into a dollar theater. I think it would go over well in the area. What do you think? I'm just not sure about getting a loan that size.hoops23;1218561 wrote:Yeah, Sandusky..

It could work. If you're dedicated enough, you can make anything work.bigdaddy2003;1218570 wrote:Yes, I'm not from Sandusky but it's the theater I go to most because it's nice and I generally go to Chipotle before or after the movie. The area is pretty populated, so if the offerings are good I think it'd do well. We don't really have any cheap options for anything anymore due to all the tourism. Hell, we pretty much lose our dollar menus in the summer lol.
And you sound like me... I usually always hit up Chipotle before or after a movie... May start making a few pitstops at 5 Guys now since that opened across the street. -
bigdaddy2003
Yeah, you are right about the area for sure. I've never been to a 5 Guys. I noticed it was going in the other day when I was at Chipotle. I think I will check it out after I watch Spider-Man Friday. After all of the praise I have heard about it I cant wait to give it a try.hoops23;1218571 wrote:It could work. If you're dedicated enough, you can make anything work.

Sonofanump1) There is a new theater between Walmart and Brown Derby?
2) Is 5 Guys open in Sandusky now?
3) Kinda pissed that Cooker is gone for a Thai place.
4) Norwalk selection of food sucks, Perkins is growing. Worth the extra trip there. -
wes_mantoothI watched some movie I never heard of today..."friends with kids". Anyhow, it was pretty much the same cast as Bridesmaids. It was ok, which makes it 50x better than bridesmaids.

1) New theater is behind the Sandusky Mall directly next to one of the older theaters.Sonofanump;1218658 wrote:1) There is a new theater between Walmart and Brown Derby?

2) I haven't been out that way in a couple days, but I was told it opened yesterday.
3) for the price, the Cooker sucked. I'm actually glad we got a little more diversity in food.
4) Norwalk sucks period, IMO. And you will still address Perkins township as Sandusky damnit! lol -
bigdaddy2003I was told 5 Guys opens Thursday (well today obviously).

I would not disrespect the people of Perkins like that.hoops23;1218678 wrote: And you will still address Perkins township as Sandusky damnit! lol -

Saw 21 Jump Street. Not that great laughed a couple of times, but the humor was predictable and tired IMO. very dissapointed. -
