Yeah forgot about penis size corresponding to liking movies. Thanks for bringing it up.

On the plus side of having a half inch penis though, I found out your mom loves guys who can't enjoy movies due to penis size.

Well as a person who has been around the comics, movies, and trading cards for most of his life I was disappointed. For one I don't dig the fact that they change established characters. Electro (Jamie Foxx) was originally white. There is zero reason to make a white character black or vice versa. If you want to make more black, Hispanic, or gay characters then make new ones. They also ruined Rhino. The kid who plays Harry Osborn is a better actor than James Franco so that is a plus. Spider Man is one of the more campy superheroes so that brings down my entertainment level but I thought it was ok overall.

I know Ill be upset, because I thought the 1st one was WAY better than the Toby re-boot. This one looks like they ruined it though.

Haven't seen it yet, but not only have all of my friends hated it, but also their kids. It takes a special type of stinker of a movie to make kids hate it. Sort of like Godzilla (1998), when my 9 year old cousin said "that sucked!" walking out of the theater.

Captain America 2 was good. I liked the 1st one more, but this one was good.

If you're upset about Jamie Foxx (a black guy) playing 'Electro' (a white guy), then have you heard yet who the actor is that will be playing 'Johnny Storm' (aka The Human Torch) in the new Fantastic Four (2015) reboot? If you guessed Michael B. Jordan (a black guy), then you'd be correct. Oh... and did I mention yet that 'Susan Storm' ('Johnny Storm's sister') is being played by Kate Mara (a white chick).

    Now that's messed up.

I seriously might pass on that one (not because I have a problem with a black guy starring in a movie, but because I have a problem with trying to make a historically white character black all the sudden).

I share your same sentiments... if you want to reach out to the black, latino, gay community... then create black, latino, and gay characters. Don't tamper with anything that you've already done and built years & years of character-building, and now suddenly change who is he purely to be politically correct and demonstrate 'diversity'. Give me a freaking break.

Captain America 2 was great! (and way better than the first one; not that there was necessarily anything wrong with the first one)

I just felt like Spider Man was too campy on top of ruining Rhino. There are people on Twitter calling it a chick flick with Spider Man thrown in. lol

They just cant get The Fantastic Four right for some reason. I've been called racist numerous times because of my opinions on comic books/race. It's funny to me.

    This.
Totally hear you. If surveys or political correctness are pressuring Marvel to put out / market a black superhero, then create and market a black superhero. If they want a black superhero mixed in with other superheros, then create a black superhero that's part of a white superhero team! Don't just change history by randomly selecting certain characters and making them BLACK! Especially when they have blood relatives built into their storylines and the other sibling is WHITE!.

    That's just dumb.

Comicbook movies are better the closer they follow the comicbook arcs. They're worse when they deviate from the comicbook arcs.

I think all superheroes should be black.

Caught "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" in 3D last night. I didn't care for it. Certainly not as good as the first one (and it's not like the first one was 'great' or anything like that). My biggest problems with the film were:

    1) I think it was bigdaddy who said it, but whoever it was, they were spot on - the movie was too much "story" and not enough "action"

    2) I don't think 'Electro' is character that easily translates to the big screen. The guy had too plain/simple of a costume in the comics/cartoons, and kinda has an omnipotent power that really is 'difficult' to translate over to the screen.

    3) They (the producers) completely re-invented 'Electro' and 'Rhino' - not a fan. As stated earlier... 'Electro' was played by Jamie Foxx (a black guy) and was a 'blue ball of energy' after his 'accident'. That's not 'Electro' (at least not from the comics/cartoons). And 'Rhino'... he was some dude wearing a 'machine' outfit (think like those 'Armed Personnel Units' (APUs) in 'The Matrix: Revolutions' or 'military'-like exoskeleton suits). Anyone who watched the cartoons / read the comics knows that 'Rhino' is really just some muscle-head dude that's really big and wears a rhino suit. To see 'Rhino' in this APU suit and then have the suit 'run' like a rhinoceros at the end of the film made me want to puke. It was just too cheezy.

    4) I didn't 'buy' the actor who played Harry Osborn (aka the 'Green Goblin'). He seemed to stiff and just didn't really do it for me. I did feel, however, that as he grew 'darker' he did start doing a better job.

    5)
[SP]Didn't like that they killed Norman Osborn (or did they?) so soon in the franchise. If you ask me, that was a wasted opportunity to essentially 'kill off' the ORIGINAL 'Green Goblin'.[/SP]

    6)
[SP]Didn't like that it was, essentially, the same venom that transformed Peter Parker into 'Spider-Man' that transfers Harry Osborn into the 'Green Goblin'. Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I thought Harry got his 'powers' from a green tube of gas; not a green shot of venom (I know, I know... semantics)[/SP]

The weirdest thing about The Amazing Spiderman was you have a machine-rhinoceros with assault rifles built into shooting at cops, and people are just lined up behind barricades on the street watching it all without a care in the world.

Anyways, looking forward to Neighbors this weekend and Godzilla next.

Someone told me that this version of Rhino is the "ultimate" version. I don't read all of the new comics so I'm not hip to the ultimate versions. I like the original Rhino better. A guy in a machine isn't that intriguing to me. I was hoping Spidey would take him out but he is unfortunately coming back for the 3rd installment. Scarlet, I knew Giamatti was Rhino and I was irritated by it from the first time I heard it.

Yeah... that's a great point friendfromlowry that I forgot to mention. I remember sitting there and thinking the very same thing... especially when the little boy runs out in the middle of the street... and EVERYONE literally stands there watching and not trying to save him. I'm sorry... but in almost any society (or at least any NORMAL society), grown adults are going to run out and protect a young child at any & all costs. It's just that simple. So... the fact that there were literally adults standing/waiting around and watching... and law enforcement trying to hold a mother back (as opposed to running out there and saving the kid) is just plain stupid.

    Good catch/point friendfromlowry.

I wouldn't say that's anything that this 'Rhino' looked like. To my knowledge, "Ultimate" Rhino didn't have any guns or anything like that.
