The Great Gatsby - not good
    Django Unchained - phenomenal
    J. Edgar - not good
    Inception - glorious
Shutter Island - eh... ok. Not great; not bad.

    Revolutionary Road - haven't seen.
Body of Lies - haven't seen

    Blood Diamond - phenomenal
The Departed - one of the most overrated movies (IMO), but still very good

    The Aviator - haven't seen
Catch Me If You Can - haven't seen

Gangs of New York - awesome

Idk man... that's a pretty good list.
Agred on Django but he was a supporting actor.

Blood Diamond was solid and in 2006 his last good film in which he was the lead actor. Didn't like inception. Departed, Gangs of NY and Catch Me if you Can are his only other good movies. Pretty overrated.

Good god Bad Grandpa was hilarious. Go see it.

You didn't like Inception? Man I loved that movie.

Im a Leo fan and have been disappointed in a few of his recent roles recently. But, I dont necessarily think its on him, the movies are just bad.

Great Gatsby and J Edgar were HORRIBLY made. I think Leo though nailed the roles that were asked of him. I just think those roles sucked ass from the director/producers.

That said, I think Wolf of Wallstreet looks great.

Normally I'm not on your side, but unless the movie cracks the top 10 all time movie list,
    Coa doesn't like it.

"Great Gatsby and J Edgar were HORRIBLY made."

Haven't seen Gatsby yet but J Edgar was a mess - totally forgettable movie. Hard to believe Eastwood directed it. Enjoyed Inception even if it was a bit overlong.

In Django he may have had a small part but he hit a grand slam in that role. He stole the show every time he was on camera.

BTW in his career the span he had from the beach to blood diamond would be really hard to beat. I saw all of those movies but dons plum and loved them

You should make it a point to watch those

I agree, he has the talent, but tends to pick the same roles and his choice of movies to be a part of recently haven't been good. J Edgar, gah I had SUCH high hopes for this. Just played the homosexual role waaaay too much. Unnecessary.

Sorry to hurt your feelz about the movie, again didn't think Leo did a bad job, just that the movie falls apart under some scrutiny. There are plenty of blog/articles written on where/why/how that movie falls apart. Next time you watch it, think about the shitty plot and the 1 dimensional characters.

OIr not, and continuie to enjoy the film. IDGAF either way. Sorry we don't agree.

Was bored with Teh Counselor movie for the most part. Did have a decent amount of knowlege about the whole drug thing and Ciudad juarez and that this seemed legit, but other than a few few sexy scences which they cannot show much it was a bit pedestrian.

WOulda loved to be in the car when Diaz did her little thing....she was looking hot.

Best part was the trailer to Lone SUrvivor...

To be fair he was in Django Unchained and did a fine job. It wasn't Tarantino's best but it was still better than most of the weekly dreck Hollywood spews out. Leo certainly held his own in the film, even if he isn't as good as Christopher Waltz.

This is pretty much what I've heard... Solid movie, but really falls apart at the end. Still anxious to see it tho.

I was pretty disappointed in Anchorman 2 overall. I mean I didn't figure it would be as good as the original but there were plenty of scenes where I was like ok that's not funny. They just tried way too hard in too many scenes.

American Hustle - 8.5/10 - really really good. I thought it took too long to get going, though.
Anchorman 2 - 6/10 - Kinda funny, but seemed forced. The song to doby was incredible, though.

    Walter Mitty - seeing today
    47 Ronin - seeing soon
Wolf of Wallstreet - seeing tonight

I am way in the minority here, but I thought American Hustle was decent but nothing special. I thought Bale did a good job, but it was just too boring to me. I have seen people compare it to goodfellas because of the storytelling...this isn't half the movie goodfellas was.

Saw Inside Llewyn Davis yesterday. It was not my favorite Coen Bros. film, probably not top 5. Still worth seeing, I enjoyed it, but generally it was ... different.

    Great music though.

Saw a preview of it...didn't look bad. Also saw a preview of "her"....looks God awful

I thought the same thing about Her, but it's getting amazing reviews. Highest rated movie that's currently in theaters.
  • Iliketurtles
Yeah Her looks really bad to me as well.

Hoping to go check out American Hustle or Wolf of Wall Street this weekend.
