I watched Hangover 3 yesterday. It had a few decent parts but mostly eh. The first remains the best.

I thought it was better than the second one, but obviously nothing touches the original.

Saw Fast 6 yesterday. Pretty much what I expected. Some of the action scenes were a little too over the top, but I still liked it.

Saw Hangover 3. I was glad they went away from the same "plot". But it seemed REALLY rushed. Thought it couldve been much better. The first 20 minutes were the best, imo.

Alan still cracked me up with quite a few lines.

Also just saw Taken 2. Much better than I was led to believe. Still nothing worth paying theater money for, but entertained me.

Hangover 3 seemed like it was more a crime drama movie with a few funny lines than the full-out comedy that Hangover 1 was. They should have stopped at the original.

I agree with this. I still liked this one better than part 2 though

Watching The Sessions right now. I'm only 15 mins in but I like it so far. The last time I checked Fast 6 was pounding Hangover at the box office. For those who watched it would you say it was better than the last one?

    Finally watched Ted. Enjoyed it.

It might not have been the most complete script, but the funny parts in Ted were as funny as any comedy I've seen in the last few years (I don't plan on watching Hangover III, I'd rather have a real hangover). If nothing else the Sam Jones scene was worth the price of an Apple TV rental.

After earth has a whopping 13% rating.. looks like I'll skip that one.

Still has a better rating than Hangover III, didn't stop people from seeing it.

    Hangover 3 was at 20%

Saw "Now You See It" tonight and loved it. Yeah, I'm not the best critic but it had me entertained the entire time.

When was the last time Will Smith made a movie worth seeing? 5 years ago with Seven Pounds? I Am Legend (some people liked it a lot)? Pursuit (I think most people liked that one...).

you bite your tongue. MIB III was great (the only movie he was in from Seven pounts til now)

Will Smith is a Scientologist fuck...until he gets rid of that shit, I won't see his movies. (and his movies will continue to suck, because of Karma)

This post is full of fail. And to think, I expected more from you.

lol ok maybe I overreacted just a little MIB was not truly great. But it wasn't terrible. Which by my logic makes it great because I expected it to be Hangover III bad (worst movie i've seen this year). The second part is still true.

I'm not sure if MIB III is good or bad, I've tried to watch it a few times and always fall asleep. It was interesting to see Josh Brolin impersonate Tommy Lee Jones.

Wow, just looked at Rotten Tomatoes re "After Earth." The critics are merciless on that one.
  • bigdaddy2003
I liked MIB 3 for Josh Brolin's part mainly. I'll probably check out After Earth, Now You See Me, and Fast 6 in the next few days.

That's what happens when you try and make a movie around Scientology. It'll flop.

I enjoyed the latter two. Wont see After earth. The other two are def pure entertainment flicks, no award winning acting (that's for sure)

Watched Now You See Me today, it was a very enjoyable movie.

Watched Lincoln. TLJones was great, the voting for the 13th was also. DDL was the part. Was kinda dull in parts, even for a history buff.

Hangover 3 was funny to me, better than the 2nd one, not up to par with the original.. It made me laugh, and with movies like that, that's all I care about.

Fast 6 was enjoyable. Nothing worth writing home about, but I'm ok with it... Obviously over the top action, sexy women, and sexy cars...

One movie I watched recently, albeit not exactly a new release, is "End of Watch" with Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena. I never heard much about this movie, and the previews made it look decent when it released in theaters, but I never got around to check it out... Just watched it on Netflix instant streaming and I have to say, this movie is vastly underrated and fucking terrific. The chemistry Jake and Michael had as partners in the LAPD was excellent and I read that they did extended ride alongs with actual LAPD officers to gain knowledge. I was literally hooked throughout the entire movie..
