Commander of AwesomeDove into the cellar tonight and had a 2013 Brown Shugga. Beer is holding up well, still hoppy with a very nice caramel undertone. Looking forward to the latest batch.

This was my gateway into craft beer. It's no wonder I got hooked. This stuff is very nice.Commander of Awesome;1655473 wrote:Dove into the cellar tonight and had a 2013 Brown Shugga. Beer is holding up well, still hoppy with a very nice caramel undertone. Looking forward to the latest batch. -

You sir suck as well!O-Trap;1655363 wrote:May as well lump me in. We have good beer at work regularly, as well as other, stronger drinks. I had a nip of Oban at about 2:30 this afternoon. Was perfect for the home stretch of the day. -
ernest_t_bassI had two Flying Dog Imperial Stouts (9.2% ABV) and one Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Pumpkin Ale (10% ABV) last night. Such a great buzz when drinking craft.

BORIStheCrusherJust got home from Ann Arbor; had dinner and beers at Jolly Pumpkin. For me the standout beer was Roja du Kriek; it's La Roja in barrels with cherries. Could have drank it all night but wanted to take advantage and try some other tap only beers. Also ended up leaving with a bottle of Lupulo de Hielo and a nice glass.

bigdaddy2003I'm trying a pumpkin ale tonight from a brewery near Cincinnati. Rivertown Brewing. It's a pretty decent brew.
-
ernest_t_bassStill haven't had Rivertown pumpkin. Want to try it bad.

sherm03Had a few St. Louis brews this weekend while I was there for shows. Drank some Schlafly (their Oktoberfest, Pumpkin, and Pale Ale) that was pretty decent.
Then I had a 4 Hands Cast Iron Oatmeal Brown that was absolutely fantastic. -
ernest_t_bassHad some Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout last night. I like their stuff... just pretty over priced when comparing to other similar stuff on the market.

It's not crazy overpriced. I look at those as if they are asking you to buy 2 bombers. $15 for two bombers isn't terrible.ernest_t_bass;1656446 wrote:Had some Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Stout last night. saltoSo effin' good.

sherm03Had Triple Digit's pumpkin today when I stopped in to Listermann's. Really spicy, but I thought it was a good pumpkin.
Drinking a Quaff Bros. Kaboom! right now. It's an oatmeal stout with cinnamon aged in bourbon barrels. Holy fuck, it's rocket fuel and it tastes amazing! -
sherm03Got a Dark Apparition by Jackie O's tonight. I realize after drinking it that I have never really known what true love is until tonight.

What kind of beer is it?sherm03;1659149 wrote:Got a Dark Apparition by Jackie O's tonight. I realize after drinking it that I have never really known what true love is until tonight. -
OSHHad my first pumpkin beer tonight, Leinenkugel style...blech! Noooooo more for me.
Maybe I shouldn't make a rash decision on pumpkin-style from a Leinie, but I am skeptical from the beginning. Not a pumpkin fan at all. -

sherm03Anyone ever tried Headless Wylie's? It's a pumpkin from Rivertowne. I picked up a sixer last night and I'm dipping into that tonight. Reviews on Untappd are pretty solid.

Leinenkugel is complete garbage. Try out their fall shandy pack if you want to throw up. They have some sort of old fashioned one that tastes like barf.OSH;1659298 wrote:I had the same hunch. I'm a Leinie fan though...gotta support the Cheesehead supporters! -
