Yep, all the 312 (both the original and the pale ale) is canned/bottled in NY or CO. Fucking stupid that InBev is trying to make 312 a different brand.

All of their standard beers (312, Honkers Ale, etc) have been brewed and bottled by InBev for several years now. The only stuff that's brewed and bottled in Chicago anymore is the Bourbon County stuff and all the Belgians.

It was amazing. On top of the rarer GI beers (like BC and their sours), there were a bunch of other breweries there ... Half Acre, Pipeworks, Temperance, Virtue Cider ... plus mini golf and dodgeball. All free. And all pours were ~8 oz.

Just tried one of these (the sammy below) after a few Great Lakes.

    Not a bad ipa.

If any of you guys have a good relationship with a bartender/brewer/manager/whatever at a local brewery near you, would you mind mentioning this to them? It'd help out a ton.

That's one IPA that I've never liked.

I did not find the SA Lat48 very good.

Thought it was OK, lots of better choices out there IMO.

Picked up some Lake Erie Monster last night. Better than last year's. All-around excellent.

    .
Totally agree but it just feels wrong to turn down a free beer.

I had some on Friday, liked it so much I had to buy 4 16-ouncers...Wells Banana Bread.

I wasn't sure about it, but it's delicious. I know some have had it on here before. Smells great. Tastes great.

Had a Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout and some more Brooklyn Black Choc Stout.

Was at The Brew Kettle on Saturday. They have a great tap list. Had of course White Rajah, and Columbus Bodhi.....but the real winner was El Lupulo Libre by The Brew Kettle. It was so delicious, so unique. Apparently won some national IIPA award. If you see it on tap anywhere, check it out.

The Libra is nice. Had is a few weeks ago at Jungle Jim's. They had a special Pint Nite featuring The Brew Kettle.

100 American Craft Beers to try list

Definitely will need to try out #41 and #47
  • gorocks99
Out of that list, I've tried 28 of the 59. Gotta step up my game.

Had 17 - but a bunch of those i don't think I would try even if I had the chance.

Had a Stone Smoked Porter with Chipotle Peppers last night, so fucking good
  • Commander of Awesome
36 for me. I wasn't even interested in the pepper beer after reviews of Crime and Punishment, but if you say it was good I'll pick it up if I come across it. I generally hate chilli beers though.
  • O-Trap
    25 of the 59.

There is shame in my game.
  • Sonofanump
4th year Revolution Belgian Quad, pretty good 3.5/5.
    Left Hand Tripple, Meh 2.5/5.

Sadly, from what I can tell I've only had 52 off that list. They have the list to 100 now. Some of those 'Left Coast' beers don't make it here.
  • gorocks99
49 out of the full 100 for me.
