Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale (never had anything like it. thought it was awesome)

Piraat Belgian Ale (thought it was good)

Rogue Hazelnut Brown Nectar (dont really remember. Was sort of drunk by then, but know I didnt hate it)

I really like Bourbon Barrel, too. The Lexington Legends have a thirsty Thursday all summer where it's only $1 a cup, so we usually go a few times each year.

I am a fan of the bourbon barrel as well. However, not as big of a fan as I am of Pumking. That stuff's great. Not sure if I've mentioned that.

Met up with a buddy of mine today for a beer exchange/bike ride. Got a BCBS, Dirt Wolf, new Brown Shugga, a Parabola, a few other off of him. We stopped every ten miles or so and enjoyed a beer, the Brown Shugga and the Dirt Wolf were excellent.

    Sam Adams Octoberfest

    It was a gift.

I don't particularly care for Octoberfests, but it's what's in the fridge.

Boo, I love SA oktoberfest. Probably been through 4 6ers this season already.

Played it safe- Great Lakes Commodore Perry once again.
Need to do a taste test with a Burning River.

What's your preference of the two Great Lakes IPA's?

OOh I haven't had either in a while, I do like both of them though.

Considering Burning River is a Pale Ale, I'd think the Commodore Perry is the better IPA.

Commodore Perry and Rye of the Tiger might be a better comparison. My favorite Great Lakes is probably Nosferatu, followed by Commodore Perry, and Edmund Fitzgerald.

I wasn't a huge fan of Rye da Tiger. Tasted like OJ to me. I mean it wasn't bad, but not the flavor I typically want in an IPA.
