SEC!!!

TheMightyGatorsNow that the 3rd best team in the SEC just beat the Big10 regular season champs and tournament champs, do you think we are going to see an all SEC final?
-
MulvaYeah team SEC!
-
Cleveland BuckLOL
-
Cleveland BuckThe Mighty Gators put up a good effort against BYU in the opening round. Even if they shouldn't have been in over Illinois, you can still be proud they made the tournament.
-
Azubuike24It's not the same in basketball. The SEC really didn't get any respect in basketball.
However, when it comes to the NCAA Tournament, especially this year, conference affiliation means very little. -
TheMightyGators
Illinois? LMAO! Yep they made the tournament just like 63 other losers did.Cleveland Buck wrote: The Mighty Gators put up a good effort against BYU in the opening round. Even if they shouldn't have been in over Illinois, you can still be proud they made the tournament. -
CinciX12How did Florida do against the Mormons?
-
big_hits24Remember the SEC is too fast for the Big10? That's probably why TENN won tonight haha...Let's go every other SEC teams' fans. Start chanting "SEC, SEC, SEC..." just because an SEC school wins.
-
Automatiklol seriously OP?? Why put yourself in that class of posters. Weak.....so weak. I am embarrassed for you.

CinciX12
Tenn fans did that tonight.big_hits24 wrote: Remember the SEC is too fast for the Big10? That's probably why TENN won tonight haha...Let's go every other SEC teams' fans. Start chanting "SEC, SEC, SEC..." just because an SEC school wins. -

-
tcarrier32SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC!!!!!
OMFG THE SEC!!!! -
newarkcatholicfanSad to have to say it but the SEC dominates the weak 11.
-
dubnineI've never really gotten into the SEC vs. Big Ten debates, but you fans that like an SEC team and therefore must root for the whole conference as if they're one team are, well, dipshits
-
HereticAre there any Minnesota fans on this site? Since they're a comparable team to Florida (borderline bubble team that got in and was promptly kicked to the curb), I'd like to know if their fan base collectively ejaculated in their pants when Michigan State won last night and were jumping up and down screaming "BIG 10 BIG 10 BIG 10!!!!!"

+1.
It's cool, I just heard that the SEC is going to be considered a midmajor in basketball next year, so they won't have near as many bubble teams that don't deserve to be there getting in. -
TheMightyGators
The same conference that has 2 teams in the Elite 8, compared to the Big10's 1? Same conference that will probably win yet another National Championship this year? Certainly you remember the Mighty Gators pounding OSU in the basketball NC right? It wasn't just in football. LOL!Red_Skin_Pride wrote:

FYI...Tennessee 3rd best team in the SEC this year. -
cats gone wildMy lips are sealed. I worked 12 hours last night so I didnt watch the game, therefore I have no comment on the game (wont get to see UK tonight either). Im going to have to watch the DVR of the OSU game.
I figured Tenn had a good shot and were more talented, but alot of OSU fans doubted me and were over confident about this game. Good luck next year, and you have a great recruiting class coming in. -

You have to ask gorocks, he is the only Gopher fan I know of on here.Heretic wrote: Are there any Minnesota fans on this site? Hey! This sounds like you regarding LSU vs PSU in their bowl game and also UK vs WVU in the elite 8!cats gone wild wrote: My lips are sealed. Both times you failed.
I find it funny when SEC fans root for other schools when their team is eliminated from something. Stupidest thing ever.
When the Browns suck, I'm not rooting for the Steelers, Ravens, or Bengals.. Likewise with the Tribe or Cavs...
You think I'll root for another Big Ten or ACC school? HELL NO! -
Laley23^^^Thank you. Rooting for teams that you despise in conference is retarded. The only Big Ten school I will openly cheer for all the time is Michigan State. I love Izzo, and I love the style of basketball they play. Other schools I might root for postseason or in the right match-up, but MSU is the only school I will openly cheer for all the time outside of IU implications.
I could NEVER root for Illinois, Purdue, OSU, Minny, Wisky, etc (even Kentucky). -
reclegend22I agree with the premise. It doesn't make sense to root for a team that you hate all year long just because of a league association. You think Isiah Thomas was rooting for Michael Jordan in the '91 Finals because of their Eastern Conference brotherhood? Or vice versa the previous years. Um, no.
For me, however, I really only despise North Carolina in the ACC. Maryland fans hate Duke; I don't hate Maryland. I hate certain players and fans from other schools (Maryland's fans are insufferable, but I let it pass because they try so hard to be our UNC), but only Carolina boils to the point that I'll follow them through the NIT to watch them lose (which I have done this March, even as my team extends its journey into the real Dance). When Deron Washington played for Va Tech, I hoped the team bus collided with the bus BC's Sean Marshall was riding on. Now that they're all gone, I'll back them in the Dance. NC State has been losing for too long to even notice its fan-base and Wake hasn't reached a Final Four since '60. And schools like Miami are just to new to the conference to have a tremendous built-in hatred for them.
I wanted Grievis Vasquez to make the Final Four this year, and was disappointed when they lost. Had it been Maryland-Butler, however, I'm going with Butler the whole way.
And add OSU to my list of schools I have despised since I was seven. -

Ooo, I'll agree with Tom Izzo. Love him as a coach. I appreciate what he does for MSU, despite all their troubles this season with being consistent and injuries. I've been to one of his summer camps and he's all class. Funny guy too.Laley23 wrote: ^^^Thank you. Rooting for teams that you despise in conference is retarded. reclegend22The more curious debate might be if LTrain ever sleeps?
I know I never do, so that's how I know you're always up. Haha. I am like an owl, except I also don't sleep during the day. -
hoops23Sleep? Who needs sleep?
haha.. I go to sleep around 5 or 6.. Wake up at 11 or 12.
Too much going on for me to sleep right now, besides, we're expecting our first child in early May, so I have to train myself to not sleep as much lol...
