What teams remaining could beat kentucky?
-
devil1197Kentucky isn't exactly blowing out Cornell either, still 10 point game after Kentucky made a huge run.
Any team can beat them imo -
wildcats20And for a team that averages over 80, they only have 40 with 6 minutes left. I feel like they can't enforce their style on other teams.
-
Azubuike24Any team that scores 8 points in 13 minutes is beatable. UK has come out horribly in this half. Nothing that resembles an offense at all...
-
THE4RINGZUK wins it all.
-
september63Who can beat UK? Any of the teams left can beat UK!!
-
eersandbeersSeems like WVU's defense could give UK some trouble. As long as WVU can limit the transition points they have a great shot of beating UK.
-
TheMightyGatorsany of the teams left could beat UK, some obviously would have a better shot than others. With that being said UK is the best team in the tournament and will be favored in every game.

Exactly. People are forgetting UK had MANY close calls this year, even when playing nobodies. All it takes is UK to have a down night and their opponent to have a hot night. THis tourney is up for grabs.TheMightyGators wrote: any of the teams left could beat UK, some obviously would have a better shot than others. It hurts me. A losing season was abducted from me, I feel.wildcats wrote:I'll talk about it more on Tuesday's semifinal thread, but I want your thoughts on Carolina's NIT run...
All joking aside, Carolina's run in the NIT has been wonderful for the Heels. I am of the camp that would rather see my team watch the NCAAs from home than play in the NIT, but in the case of UNC, it would have been catastrophic to end the season that way. The team looked dead. There was no team. Roy had lost his players. Blame was being thrown around. They didn't believe they could win. Deon was locking himself in his closet playing halo because "it's all I have now." The NIT gave UNC new life, and something to prove, I think. With the burden of the regular season to forget behind them, they've had a clean slate to do things over, to mend past mistakes and failures. Winning three in a row is a start, something the Heels hadn't done since before Christmas -- and ingraining in his players that they can win is the most important thing Roy needed to do to turn things around.
Most importantly, though, this run has bolstered the confidence of John Henson. He's playing really well. He's averaging 11.5 points and has grabbed over 20 rebounds in three NIT games. Some might say, well, it's the NIT, but that doesn't matter. During one six game ACC stretch in January-Feb, Henson scored nine points and grabbed four rebounds. Nine and four. Frankly, at that point, and I think many Carolina fans would agree, he looked like no help. He's proving now that he just needed some more time to adapt to the college game. I'm sure his light frame had a lot to do with his struggling transition, too, but these extra games have given him the confidence that he can play and play well at this level. He looked like a completely different player the other night against UAB. True, he had about four games where he scored in double figures near the end of the year, but these added games are only icing on the cake. Next season, he'll be ready to fly out of the gate. (I hope he goes to the League).
That's about all the nice things I can muster. And I'm still reeling from K-States dumbass win from its d-bag coach who I frickin' hate looking at. -
hoops23Good post Rec. I still hope Duke loses by 35.
-
reclegend22And I'm still laughing that you're in the NIT. I wouldn't expect anything less from either of us. Haha.

You don't have to get so personal -

Sorry. When K leaves, I'm sure I'll eat my words at some point. -

Yea they look on another level. I don't care how young they are. IMO they would have to have a total meltdown for anyone left to beat them. To me they look that much better then anyone else.Ironman92 wrote: Man they look good! -
hilliardfanIt's interesting that just a little over a week ago Kentucky was the over whelming favorite amongst Chatters to be the first #1 seed to get beat in this tournament.

Not me, I have had them winning it all since the jump. And not because I am a UK fan, I just think they are the best team in the tourney.hilliardfan wrote: It's interesting that just a little over a week ago Kentucky was the over whelming favorite amongst Chatters to be the first #1 seed to get beat in this tournament. -

Well, those predictions were all prior to all the dominoes falling as the NCAA progresses. UK has been fortunate to play the lowest seed possible in the first 3 games. Now they get a high seed, a legit quality team in WVU. Although WVU is without their starting PG which certainly is a big loss.hilliardfan wrote: It's interesting that just a little over a week ago Kentucky was the over whelming favorite amongst Chatters to be the first #1 seed to get beat in this tournament.
UK is good, no question. And will be a tough out. But there are teams left that can beat them. -
krambmanGoing ahead I honestly feel like almost any of the teams left could beat UK. We'll find out tonight who the other four Elite Eight teams are, but I feel like this will be a pretty well balanced group. Remember, just because UK looked dominant last night doesn't really mean anything. Syracuse won their first two games by 23 and 22 points, then got dominated by Butler trailing practically the entire game. Matchups are everything and I think a lot of the teams left match up well against UK.

0311sdpKentucky is probably the most talented team left in the tounement, but I agree with everyone else, they can be beaten by anyone left still playing. If not for Calipari UK would be a little easier to like.
-
Laley23None if they play their best. UK is the best team left when they are on top of their game. Only UK can beat UK.
