NCAA 1st Round: (2) Ohio State vs. (15) UC Santa Barbara

I don't even know what the argument is, but S&L made his point very clearly in answering each one of CBF's arguments.

I don't know which conference is better, although I do think the Big 12 is slightly better. However, I think that if Kansas and OSU match up, OSU has a good shot at beating them. I'm more scared of Georgetown than Kansas based on personnel and style of play. I think OSU actually matches up fairly well with Kansas.

Does the Atlantic 10 have the same amount of teams who will likely make the Sweet 16 as the Big 10?

Ohio State/Michigan State are guarantees, and Wisconsin has a good chance
    Xavier/Temple/Richmond

I don't think the Atlantic 10 gets 3, but its interesting that with the Big 10 being 'so good' there is the potential for that to occur.

There aren't any gaurantees, not in the tourney.

The whole Wake vs VT argument is retarded. Wake is better and deserved to be in WAY ahead of VT. VT didnt play a single hard team in OOC (ok, 1...but they lost it). They have ONE argument to get in and thats that they beat Wake...but it was at home, by 4. I remember a lot of people saying head to head only matters when the game is on a neutral court. Afterall, OSU threw out the WV argument because they played on the road and were leading for a good portion of the game.

I am so pissed at Dick Vitale for constantly throwing that down our throats without mentioning the unbalanced schedule. Wake Forest has a resume that blows VT out of the water.

Ok, the potential for the A-10 is 3.
The potential for the B10 is 5.

The Big Ten has 1 guarantee and the A-10 has none.
The Big Ten has 1 team favored for it and another who has a great chance, the A-10 has none favored and 1 with a very good chance. The other two would be pretty big upsets (though I have X in the Sweet 16).

BTW, the Big Ten is not strong this year. In fact it is the most underachieving conference I can remember in awhile (based on what was expected). Hell, even Indiana and PSU underachieved massively. Only 2 team played above/even their preseason thoughts (Wisky and OSU). You can make a case for Purdue either way.

I hope I get the Ohio State game. Only have 2 CBS channels (a Youngstown affiliate and a Pittsburgh affilate) to watch games on here in Northwestern Pa. I hope I get the Bucks.

That being said, I hope the Bucks can put it together and make a run. It'll be a tough task, but if they play like they did in the 2nd half against Minnesota for 40 minutes a night in the tourney(with a night off between games) they'll be tough to beat

With the availability of the packages I would be shocked if sports bars didnt carry all 3 (or four depending on time of day) games at once. Just hit up one to watch your teams. I practically live at sports bars Thursday and Friday of this week every year.

With OSU being the night game I can't imagine anywhere in Ohio would get something else. Remember that the only other team the Youngstown and Pitt area would have a huge interest in would be Pitt or maybe WV. Both of those teams play earlier than OSU. Unless they totally pull something out of left field and go with Syracuse.

This would be my plan, but I leave for SanFran saturday afternoon and have to get my shit together Friday night...Therefore, I have to hope Southwestern PA doesn't kick me in the nuts and televise the Syracuse game.

I don't live at the bars around here during tourney time.... I can't, with classes and games to be going to....

Not even sure I'd want to, with some of the locals around here

Well, the issue with the Big Ten has been injuries. All the top teams have suffered major injuries. I really believe if not for the injuries, that the Big Ten could have possibly had 4 teams ranked in the top 10 at seasons end.
    Turner for OSU
    Luers for Wisky
    Lucas for MSU
    Hummel for Purdue

All MAJOR players, and all injuries cost these teams some games without question.

Roe has been hampered by injuries for MSU all year too and Indiana had one of their better players (although a FR) go with an injury.

Northwestern lost their best player before the year even started, imo they would be in the field of 65 with Coble in the lineup.

Hey cbf, just saw on Sportscenter that Kansas has played more games (13) against tournament teams than any other team in the country.

Yeah, Kansas' strength of schedule (#5, by the way) sure is questionable! LOL

By the way, still waiting on your response to my previous post...I knew you wouldn't respond, too big of a coward when proven wrong.

Hey pal, I have learned not to STEP to the LEVEL of a low conversation. I don't even know what your question is. Believe me you, I never dodge questions, you should know better.
I could give a rats ass what ESPN says. I looked at schedule...its not great by any means. Its not bad either.
And, in case you haven't read some of the things I have said lately....I believe Kansas is the REAL deal, and clear cut FAV going into the NCAA.
I don't question Kansas. I just don't feel, after Kansas, that the Big12 is all that great. Sorry for having an opinion that doesn't go along with yours. Now go away.

I have no question that NW would be in the NCAA with Coble. He is a player. Injuries have really decimated the Big Ten big time this year.
Seriously unbelieve if you think about it...its like all the BEST players on all those teams. Never seen anything like this in one conference before.

I wouldn't expect 100 with the way UCSB is taking 34 seconds to shoot EVERY possession.
