Why? The kid could change his mind anytime he wants to. Now if he doesn't turn out good or gets a career ending injury through high school he's already got a scholly. More than likely if one of those things happen they won't take away the offer.
nothing has been signed, its all verbal, USC can easily take that scholarship right back

That video....holy shit, that was unintentionally hilarious!

My question is, if as the gay-ass song says, he has "all kinds of time", shouldn't his OL be recruited instead of him?
  • j_crazy
^^ May be the gayest ever??

produce one comparable. i dare you.
  • UA5straightin2008
    que?
  • UA5straightin2008
this is such a joke and the kid has probably the gayest highlight tape ive ever seen

  • Heretic
I believe he means that it would be impossible for you (or anyone else) to produce a gayer video, meaning that you saying it MIGHT be the gayest ever is a huge understatement.

I have to admit, he does have potential. Darn good looking QB for middle school.

So what happens to this kids psyche when he is nothing but an average hs quarterback? I don't think kids who aren't done growing like middle school kids should even be allowed to talk or speak with colleges. I remember watching something on ESPN about middle school basketball phenoms that ended up to be nothing special by the time they were seniors, because they didn't grow or everyone caught up with them skill wise. Let kids be kids until they are at least in high school.

This young man was on Good Morning America today with his dad...no doubt a talented 13 year-old...however, the unfortunate and potentially tragic thing is that it appears that this boy and his dad are taking Kiffen's offer seriously, and at face value. When they learn that Kiffen's word is about as sound as a house of cards......as has been posted elsewhere...Kiffen will not even be at USC in 2015. As Bill Weir rightly pointed out, for every Ben Rothlisberger...there is a Todd Marinovich.

I beat this, my son committed during the Alamo Bowl a few years back...he is much bigger now....lol

A few things from that video...

    1. Wherever the fuck they play Middle School football the kids are a hell of a lot bigger and more developed athletically than your average Ohio middle school team of 7th graders.

    2. Film study for 7th graders? are you serious?

Just watched the video & wonder: Does anyone play defense????

My 8th grade son, who plays linebacker, heard about this kid on the news & said that further motivates him to make it to play big-time football so he can destroy him.

Someone else already mentioned this. How about those linemen? They have been eating their Wheaties.
  • Pick6
He plays in Delaware of all places.

    Crazy Father Alert!
The Daily Princetonian wrote:Sills’ father is the one who made all the decisions and called Kiffin to accept the offer, and it is clear that he is pushing his son into an irresponsible decision. At the risk of sounding like an old man, I wonder why parents can’t let their kids simply be kids any more.
This article is hardly subjective, but it should be noted that the kid's dad is responsible for all of this happening.
