Ohio's three 5* recruits all leave Ohio
-
devil1197Btw, Anderson has canceled his trip to USC and there are rumblings he wants into the OSU class.
-
Big Gain
You're too stupid to figure out the reasons why?cats gone wild wrote: Why couldnt OSU land a single 5 * player from their own back yard?
L Anderson committed to WVU
S Ware committed to LSU
J Hicks committed to Texas
Dont worry, Im down and out too. LSU has lost 3 top 100 commits lately who were originally committed to LSU. Looks like Texas and Florida are getting everyone. -

Was it a GREAT year?
No.
But this class will most likely end up being quite solid, given the needs of the team vs. who is already on it. -

1. An OSU fan would have started this anyway, so does it matter who starts the dialogue? It's a good discussion topic.ytownfootball wrote: More interest in OSU athletics than your own huh
Your game is pretty tired.
2. He added full disclosure about his particular team having the same issues, but had he started an LSU thread no one would have came to it other than to be a dick. Just pandering to the audience.
Long story short, Don't be an asshole. -
sleeperIt's because none of these players would sniff the starting line up until their junior or senior year. Kids want to play now, not sit behind a bunch of future HOF's and you can take that to the bank.
-
ytownfootballts...you crack me up, you can't stand Ohio State and defend others that don't too...you always have
Nobody from Ohio State would have started the thread because we already know why
If you really don't think there was intention behind his post then you don't pay attention.
Take your own advice kid -
darbypitcher22the Anderson kid had his shot.... he chose WVU in front of a National Television audience... let the chips lie where they fall....

They aren't Buckeye material? Because they decide to go somewhere other than OSU they somehow aren't good enough anymore?? That's laughable.WCAL wrote: Not trying to take anything away from any of these kids, but like I stated before they just weren't Buckeye material. Hicks could have been, but he wasn't born here and didn't care for the Bucks like most Ohio high schoolers do -

I think j crazy was being sarcastic, at least that is how I interpreted the post.Writerbuckeye wrote:

Just because they aren't Buckeye material doesn't mean they weren't talented enough. Perhaps the poster meant that they weren't Buckeye material as far as how the school fits their desires in a school, how they interact with the players on the team or the geography of C-bus.karen lotz wrote:

rocket31all those 3 players had legitimate reasons to chose other schools. if a trend like this continues then there might be cause for concern, but as it stands OSU is in great shape. the last two years classes were great!
anyways, notre dame is having a down year in recruiting as well....it is what it is.
i do not even think our "top" recruit (louis nix) is that *great* certainly not worthy of a top 150 player ranking....oh well, i hope we can land some new guys this weekend... -
vball10set^^^good post,my MC friend-especially since it was done in the wee hours...btw,OneBuckeye-my post was tongue-in-cheek,but thanks for the hat explanation anyway
everyone knows that recruiting is a crap shoot, and a lot of times these "must have" kids don't pan out,but it sure makes for good conversation during this dead period,eh??
now,as long as we get Seantrel... -
Scarlet_BuckeyeYeah I really don't want the Latwan Anderson anymore. he drops the n word all the time on his Facebook page and just sounds like a real Thug (I know... I hate how this term gets thrown around on here, but I think it fits in this instance). Anderson is going to end up nothing but trouble (mark my words). Better it happen elsewhere than in Columbus.

Is that the only reason you don't him? Duron Carter's twitter was just as bad when it came out he was ineligible for the rose bowl. I suppose he gets a pass because he is the son of a legend?Scarlet_Buckeye wrote: Yeah I really don't want the Latwan Anderson anymore. he drops the n word all the time on his Facebook page and just sounds like a real Thug (I know... Is this a joke? You WANT clean cut kids over thugs? Shit, give me all the thugs we can get. What made Miami successful for a while, now Florida? Thugs. You want to have a swagger to your team, and guys like TP and Duron Carter give us that, I'm fine with recruiting thugs.Scarlet_Buckeye wrote: Yeah I really don't want the Latwan Anderson anymore. he drops the n word all the time on his Facebook page and just sounds like a real Thug (I know... Because Tressel, unlike some other coaches, will quickly put thugs who step out of line in the doghouse (cough cough Ray Small). -

Yeah but I could see Anderson being another Ray Small. I don't know him personally but he just comes across as that kind of kid.lhslep134 wrote:

N word along with every other 4 letter word there is. If that's what he wants to do that's his call, but someone at OSU must not have liked it bc his account is now private. Again, I'm not saying he is a thug or whatever, just thought it was odd that Scarlet gave that reason for not wanting him to sign with OSUjordo212000 wrote:

ytownfootballNot that it matters, but there is quite a bit of difference in knowing that kind of thing is going on prior to being a member of the team and finding out after he's already on the team. I don't like that kind of stuff, but it's not my call either.
-
karen lotzI agree it doesn't matter. That doesn't mean that he started it after he stepped on campus either. I'm just saying I'm pretty sure Carter is still wanted on the team even after the issue with his grades. To make a blanket statement about Anderson not being wanted due to the content of his facebook page is silly.
-
karen lotzAnyways, does OSU have anyone taking visits this weekend or are they pretty much just waiting for Wednesday to come?
-
jordo212000Yeah I agree. The content of his Facebook page is irrelevant, if they wanted him they'd overlook all that stuff
-
newarkcatholicfanBuckeyes will be just fine and I would bet two of those three players that went some place else will do little in college.
-
