First Boise St has a blue field, now a red one in Washington?
-
tcarrier32i like it!
-
sjmvsfscs08Boise State was the first, so they were being original. This is just lame.
-
FatHobbitI kinda like it. Army should do a camo version.
-
Fab1bI was just looking at this! I think it would be cool!
-
georgemc80I know the Field Turf where I coach fades over time. I wonder if EWU is ready to have a pink field.
-
FatHobbitHawaii could have rainbow turf...
-
se-alumI think it looks pretty cool.
-
j_crazyI keep thinking of High Plains Drifter.
-
BORIStheCrusherI guess I could be wrong, but I thought teams couldn't have colored turf other than Boise since it has been around?
-
ytownfootball^^^this was my understanding too^^^
But being 1AA means it probably doesn't apply
No place for it in the game IMO, I personally think it's stupid. -
QuintI'm not a fan of this. . . I think the inner baseball player in me craves that beautiful green field.
More power to them though! Great publicity already! When was the last time we were talking about Eastern Washington on here? haha -
bases_loaded
That is one of the facts when playing at Boise State on the loading screen for NCAA 2010ytownfootball wrote: ^^^this was my understanding too^^^

ytownfootballThat it only applies to 1A programs?
-
bases_loadedNo that Boise State because of being grandfathered in is the only school to have it. But the article states there is no NCAA rule so who knows?
-
LeonardoI like it!
-
SQ_CraziesThe game should be played on a green field--period.
-
osudarby08I think it looks pretty sweet.
-
darbypitcher22It works for Boise, not sure it'll work for Eastern Washington.... now nobody really talks about the blue turf as much because they found out Boise can actually play football too
-

That would be cool. They rocked the camo unis in the Navy game last year.FatHobbit wrote: I kinda like it. Army should do a camo version. -
goosebumpsI'm not a fan.
Provides a bigger home-field advantage. -
Trueblue23Looks pretty sweet!
-
goosebumpsBoise State hasn't lost a home game since Sep. 8 2001 against Washington State. Washington State finished 10-2 with a #10 ranking.
Since that game, Boise state has won 51 Straight Home games. -
ytownfootballI can't even stand to watch a game @Boise State. In fact, I refuse, I want to see how they stack up but I can wait till they play away and not abuse my optical nerves.

I thought there was too, but at least this link from Yahoo seemed to differ.BORIStheCrusher wrote: I guess I could be wrong, but I thought teams couldn't have colored turf other than Boise since it has been around?
