Other than money, is Tennessee really a better job than NCSU?ironman02;1883941 wrote:Moving on to the NC State coach now? -

Why wouldn't it be? The state of Tennessee rallies around the Volunteers. Do most people in North Carolina even know what city NC State is in? They know where UNC and Duke basketball play. Not sure much else.queencitybuckeye;1883980 wrote:Other than money, is Tennessee really a better job than NCSU? -

Neither will be anything more than a mid-pack team in their league, one league on the the uptick, the other declining. After seeing the UT fanbase in action this week, I'm not sure how you would consider them to be a positive. They're pretty horrible.kizer permanente;1883981 wrote:Why wouldn't it be? Yeah but if you have success, Tennessee will be the much better job. There's not a ton of schools that outdraw Tennessee.queencitybuckeye;1883982 wrote:Neither will be anything more than a mid-pack team in their league, one league on the the uptick, the other declining. And that's just the world we're living in now. It's pretty easy for fan bases to be vocal now. I don't believe for 1 second this is unique to Tennessee. If OSU fired Meyer and promoted Shiano you'd see the same thing. -

The difference would be that the tOSU fanbase would be more honest (and correct) in their reasons. He's not good enough for the Buckeyes, he's plenty good for a program at Tennessee's level.kizer permanente;1883989 wrote:Yeah but if you have success, Tennessee will be the much better job. I feel like you're selling Tennessee short. They've been down but they average over 100k a game attendance (only 7 schools total do). Top 15 most valuable program.. Play in a great conference.. If you turn them around you're at a top program.queencitybuckeye;1884000 wrote:The difference would be that the tOSU fanbase would be more honest (and correct) in their reasons. They aren't an Ohio State, Alabama, etc., never have been and never will be. They're a second/third tier program with a rabid following. There's nothing at all wrong with that, but they really should quit pretending they're more.kizer permanente;1884015 wrote:I feel like you're selling Tennessee short. MulvaI think Tennessee could have/should have done better than Schiano, but after the way it was handled I’m not sure they will.

I hope that somehow Leach backs out of this. Has the AD signed off on Leach with the fan base first? Maybe they'll protest and end up with Tee Martin after all. lol -

HereticAnd right now, the rumor is that Fulmer is sabotaging the current ADs coaching search because he wants the AD position.
PLEASE LET THIS BE TRUE!!!!! -
ironman02Per various sources on Twitter, Tennessee has now fired their AD.
He was set to offer the job to Leach, but the university wouldn't give the go-ahead. The university then fired him.
It's rumored that Phil Fulmer is undermining this whole thing in an attempt to become the AD at Tennessee.
