Offseason thread (coaching changes, transfers, NBA Draft)

Indiana gets JBJ to return but loses Troy Williams. About what was expected at the end of the year. I actually think Troy leaving might benefit this team in the long run, but think we see a drop off without him early.

Definitely would've benefited more from that being reversed, but Blackmon would've been crazy to stay in the draft.

Disagree. Blackmon is going to be needed big time to score. Indiana needed a go to scorer with Yogi gone. Williams I think would've taken minutes from Morgan and OG. While Troy has the ability to take over games, I think he could've been a problem taking bad shots. While last year, we needed him to be the second best on court to win, we won't next year. Bryant being a sophomore and JBJ being back provide enough offense where Troy wouldn't be needed to force things and take awful, off balance drives.

I see it both ways. I guess I just looked at their D is why they won. They relied on execution, good FT shooting and making threes, but the D cemented them into a legit contender.

They had Blackmon's firepower early on and weren't very good. If their D falls back, isn't it going to be much of the same?

Their defense took off when OG and Morgan got the minutes from his injury. So yes, it would revert. But, those guys will still play now that Crean knows them. He is really going to be he only bad perimeter defender for IU next year.

Rutgers: A pathetic program or THE pathetic program.
Lol that is terrible... I would like to meet the person/people who came up with this idea and also the person who approved for it to be posted. Just to tell them how stupid it is.

There is a part of me (the professional bullshitter part) that is sort of in awe of his/her "outside the box" thinking when it comes to promoting the team.

"Look, virtually everything here sucks. Last year, we had one good player and the rest of the team probably wouldn't start on half the MAC teams. But...we have an assistant coach who was an assistant at UConn and they've won all sorts of things! Let's act like his accomplishments there carry over to here!!!! BRILLIANT!!!!"
