2016 NCAA Tournament Discussion

Dayton has midget guards and they lack shooting.

I think they get obliterated by Syracuse's zone.

The only thing Dayton has going for them is experience and the March magic that they seem to be invigorated with the last few years.

Not sure if anyone else saw this or not, but there are new, improved(IMO) court designs for the tournament this year. No more boring blue and NCAA logo. Each city will have its own colors also.

Can't even get the clock started, TWICE. Fail, Dayton. Fail.

I can vouche that Providencenis red lol.

I still wish they would go back to the home court look and not repaint. But this is at least better, though the logo in person looks like it's from the early 2000s lol

Yeah, I miss the original paint jobs. Boise St. was always great lol.

    FDU is not good.

The first 5-6 minutes were brutal

FGCU doesn't seem to be your typical 16 seed. Obviously they did damage as a 15 seed in 2013, so I'll probably be a little nervous on Thursday night.

Lol. That was a determined attempt, but no.

Wichita State/Arizona is a hell of a 6/11 match up.

They did just beat another 16 seed by 31 points. I'm not trying to say they're great or anything...just that they're probably more like a 14 or 15. Most times, 1 seeds don't even beat a 16 by 31 points. They're playing really well right now.

I'm with you but there are reverse jinx tendencies in the post and I've ruined that for others lol.

    UNC by 14

It doesn't matter the refs aren't going to let UNC lose just like they made sure Syracuse won in 2012.

    Crazy prediction...

Duke will be the very first team eliminated from the real tournament.

Not crazy. Hoping they'll be the first team in the round of 32

After Belmont (almost), Lehigh and Mercer, that prediction is actually pretty conservative. There is a very real chance that Duke will not even face Baylor (or Yale), let alone beat them.
  • reclegend22
And that is not a reverse jinx post. That is a Duke has lost to two 15 seeds and needed a last-second, length-of-the-court buzzer beater to beat another. All in the last eight years post.

I fully expect a terrible shooting outing and a loss. Hoping Ingram has a huge tournament but if he struggles I believe they will lose.

I've thoroughly enjoyed watching Duke lose to Lehigh, Mercer, and VCU in the 1st round in recent years. Regrettably, I'm fairly confident that Duke will at least make it to face Oregon in the Sweet 16, and I wouldn't be the least bit shocked to see them win the West Region. They seem to have found themselves in yet another favorable draw, in my opinion.

Despite some early round struggles in games they had no business losing, Duke has won two national championships since Carolina last played for one. The Dukies that get on me for being pessimistic (yes, that would be you, rec) need to take a little look in the mirror and enjoy their five championships in the last two and a half decades. : )

By the way, I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve. Tomorrow is one of the best days of the year. Despite my last post, I'm hoping that UNCW brings me a present tomorrow.

I have to admit....Harold Arceneaux brought me incredible joy back in 1999. I don't like to be that fan that is ecstatic when other teams lose....but I was that night.

Dude couldn't miss. It was insane.

UM and Tulsa is boring and they can't shoot.

....as the winner goes on to the sweet 16 now

Neither of these teams will beat Notre Dame, let alone a defensive team like WVU.

Agree...but my comments sometimes yield happenings like that. I had ND in all of my brackets.
