Yes. I don't agree with the process

Do they have to take the highest ranked team or do they get the first pick of the remaining teams? I think they used to get first pick, if the B1G champ went to the title game under the BCS system but I'm not sure now.

I agree with what i think you are saying. Why should Iowa be punished for playing in the championship game?

Thy get the highest ranked non playoff team

Do you know which ranking they use? I kind of assume the playoff ranking.

Why is this so hard for people to understand?...the Bowl wants the best marquis teams to play and that means "highest" ranked NOT where you finished in a conference. Every non-playoff bowl will be scratching to land OSU which everyone knows "talent wise" should be in the playoffs. But they stabbed themselves in the throat all season until scUM and now must pay the price.

What other ranking would they use?

    Was this a serious question?

    Coaches or ap poll.

It would not shock me if a 1 loss Iowa or a 2 loss msu would be ranked above osu at the end of the year. That's why I wondered if the bowls could then pick who they wanted or if they now were forced to take a team based on some arbitrary (IMHO) ranking.

No 2 loss team is going to be above OSU at years end.

You mean polls that are completely meaningless?

The only poll or ranking system that matters in college football is the Playoff Rankings.

Rose Bowl doesnt have to take highest ranked team, but have publicly stated it would take an extraordinary situation for them not to

Best game out there would be OSU vs Iowa but no bowl has the balls to do that.

if by balls you mean the ability, then yes

I just hope the Buckeyes come to play against ND. I would love to lay a whooping on them!

ND doesn't have the talent level to stop Zeek nor do they have the offensive talent to get anywhere with that D-line.

The only way we lose is if the coaches pull a 'MSU' and don't use their best player.

Because comparing two power 5 conferences is the same as comparing a power 5 team to a MAC team. Fucking retard.
Stanford played one legit team and got beat by double digits.
