Where will Boise St start in the Preseason polls?

  • BCSbunk
I know it is way early, but this is to make a point so many can remember and so I can remember LOL.

Boise st return all its starter but 3 after an undefeated season and will finish no worse than 5th this season.

Do they start the next season #1 are they any other teams in the top 5 that return even close to that many players? I know Ohio St is returning many on offense but losing quite a few on defense.

    top 10

    I will say 3 or 4.

I think Bama is definitely starting at number 1.
  • Emmett Brown
    I say top 5.

Put them at 20, they play 1 good team a year and have no wear and tear of a real conference schedule like every other big team does

    This.

BCS bunk.....OSU loses 3 starters on defense and 5 overall. I think the Buckeyes have the foundation set for a solid season. Similarly, with Boise State returning many starters, I think they will be ranked in the top 5 going into the season. However, although a high preseason ranking, there will be little room for improvement as they play absolutely no one and won't have the strength of schedule to reach a national championship.

No one will play them, so do they get penalized because the BCS schools are being pussies?

I take back what I said about Boise playing absolutely no one.....their non conference schedule next year is Toledo, Wyoming, Oregon State, and Vtech. Wins over all those programs will help their cause even though Toledo and Wyoming are both rebuilding programs.

I think they could fall anywhere in the 3-7 range. I think it is entirely possible they start out at #3. If I were a betting man I would say it is almost assured that Alabama and Ohio State will be #1 and #2, respectively.

^^^^How about Alabama, Ohio State, Oregon, Boise??
  • dtdtim
What about them? I'm not sure if you're asking me a question or giving your Top 4.

I already said I think Alabama and Ohio state will be #1 and #2, 3-7 is a crap shoot but Oregon and Boise will both be there. I do think these are almost assuredly 4 of the Top 5 preseason teams next year. Throw Florida in at #5.

Wow. They play 2 teams that won their bowl game this year....and one that lost.

If they run the board next year, I would be surprised if they don't make the title game.

Then they should join a real conference

Florida's cupboard will be bare next year.

You just discredited Boise's non-conference schedule, but then said you would be surprised if they didn't make the national championship if they run the board. With their schedule, i'll be shocked if they make the title game even if they go undefeated. I personally, feel that OSU, Oregon, and Bama will be the frontrunners for the national championship.

They probably have one of the toughest non schedules

Can't change conferences if no one will take you... it's not like it's open enrollment into BCS leagues.

It's easier said than done to do the things you say, and it's not like they aren't trying.

Boise St should start the season #3 behind 'Bama and OSU.
  • visionquest
I don't care where they all, it'll just be good to see Florida not in the top 10 if it happens. I can't stand Florida or any Florida teams for that matter.
  • devil1197
    1. Bama
    2. OSU
    3. BSU
    4. Oregon
