Ohio State Recruiting Thread

ironman02 wrote: So does OSU have room to actually sign Henderson, Moses, James, and Anderson if they ALL wanted to be Buckeyes? I'd say the chances of that happening are pretty slim, but I just wondered what the scholarship situation actually is. I had been hearing that they had two spots left, but could probably make room for three.

I guess if James Louis backs out, that would make some extra room, but hopefully he sticks with his commitment. I know this is a tough decision for these kids, but if he ends up going to Minnesota after all the things that have happened during his recruitment, that would be pretty low. If he's not joking around, and is serious about Minnesota, he has been playing Tressel for quite a while now.

Edit: Looks like someone read my mind and answered before I even posted. Thanks. haha
I don't know what will happen if all those guys want to be Buckeyes. Sounds like something will have to give. Maybe one agrees to a gray shirt? Which would probably be Moses, if anyone, considering he's been working his ass off to get things straight academically to qualify for OSU.

Assuming all 5 (moses, henderson, james, louis, and anderson) WANT to be Buckeyes, that would really be one hell of a close out to the signing period for OSU. In all reality I think we get 2 including Louis. I just am assuming the worst that way I won't be dissapointed.

But that would be one heck of a line in 2011 if we get Moses and Henderson, assuming Brewster stays...

    Henderson, Moses, Brewster, Hall, Shugarts...

    WOW
  • OneBuckeye
Andrew Norwell is the first buckeye to sign his LOI and fax it in.
  • OneBuckeye
James Louis is signed sealed and delivered for all the doubters out there.

Thankfully Louis was playing all of the Buckeye fans into hysteria.

Not sure about anyone else but James to OSU is a possibility I am hearing? Down to ND and OSU but I think ND takes it.

05:50 AM ET 02.03 | It appears Southern California has become the front-runner to be Seantrel Henderson's college choice when it's announced this afternoon. And Miami, which the highly recruited Cretin-Derham Hall offensive lineman visited last weekend, apparently has moved into a dark-horse position. The 6-foot-8, 335-pound offensive lineman is in New York, where he'll announce his decision on the CBS College Sports TV network. Ohio State, thought to be among top considerations the past few months, now seems to be in third place, followed by Minnesota. It would be a major surprise if Henderson chooses the Gophers. USC was considered the clear favorite for Henderson until coach Pete Carroll recently left for the Seattle Seahawks.

    that's awesome.

you should Edit the first post of this thread to reflect the official LOI's that have been signed. it'd be a good way to keep track
  • devil1197
Any news on Henderson is purely a guess right now.
  • Wooball
I am not saying this isn't correct, but I really wouldn't take any recruiting info from newspapers seriously.

Matt James signed with Notre Dame 9:23 am

fuckin' A.... knew some shit like this was going to go down... and with this Henderson to that douchebag Kiffin in Los Angeles we're gettin' fucked in the ass again on signing day
  • devil1197
OSU loses James and Moses within minutes.

Not going to be a good day for the Buckeyes.
  • j_crazy
    duh.

but this class will be a good class to add some depth and maybe a star or 2 comes out. not a class to hang your hat on, but 70 other schools would love to have a class like ours. Adding Hendo and Anderson make this class a lot better than its looking, but i won't hold my breath for either of those 2. would have been nice to have either james or moses. whats the scholly count now?

    did Moses sign w/Virginia??

and please, stop this doom-and-gloom bullshit...the Bucks are filling needs--we'll be fine
