Harbaugh BRUTAL on Cowherd
-
Coach_08Harbaugh just signed another 4 star (WR Brad Hawkins), the interview must not have hurt him to bad! Typical ohio fan looking for anything to bash Michigan. Who cares if he is a nut job to some extent, look around at some of the coaches and tell me they are not a little crazy. Yes Harbaugh's interview was not great but making way to big of deal out of it. Like I said leave it to ohio fans.

AutomatikWho's making a big deal? It's just fucking discussion.
I know Michigan supporters who were bashing the hell out of him. -

Leave it up to Michigan fans to get defensive because osu said the same thing the entire nation is saying about the interview. I guess losing breeds little dick syndrome(just look at webbie).Coach_08;1738761 wrote:Harbaugh just signed another 4 star (WR Brad Hawkins), the interview must not have hurt him to bad! I'd be extremely surprised if that sticks. Currently, he has the #6 Recruiting Class (according to 247), and that's with 21 commits (currently). Meanwhile, everyone else has 14-18 commits. Michigan won't have too many more (maybe another 5); meanwhile most other schools will add another 8-10 recruits.Coach_08;1738610 wrote:Yes the interview was bad, but who cares really?? Harbaugh has a top 10 recruiting class and is focused on turning Michigan around. Also a lot of these high profiled college coaches have huge egos, thats what makes them great. -

Which supports the fact that these sports talk guys have a completely over inflated sense of themselves. Cowherd wishes he was important enough to affect recruiting. In reality, a glorified disc jockey.Scarlet_Buckeye;1738887 wrote:I'd be extremely surprised if that sticks. thavoiceHarbaugh will make michigan better. No doubt about that, but I also dont think they could have fallen much more than they had.
His schtick is overbearing for the NFL where guys stick around for years and years, but at the college level his shit will work for many as they just arent there that long -
Scarlet_Buckeye
Really? Cuz I thought Harbaugh's problem was with the 49ers front office; not the players. While NCAA players might come & go after 4-years, the AD and administration will not. Harbaugh will wear on the UM administration just as quickly as he wore out his welcome in San Francisco.thavoice;1739020 wrote:Harbaugh will make michigan better. If he wins at UM and keeps the program clean then I believe the Admin wont really much care.Scarlet_Buckeye;1739022 wrote:Really? You are right...in SF he didnt get along with the front office and such, probably some power plays on both sides.
I was probably wrong in my initial assessment in that regard. I did just do a search about harbaugh and his relationships with the players and there was quite a bit of discord with them as well, but you are right the decision to leave was because of his relationship with the front office. -

I haven't seen any Bobcat fans commenting on this. Why would they?Coach_08;1738761 wrote:Harbaugh just signed another 4 star (WR Brad Hawkins), the interview must not have hurt him to bad! Typical Michigan fan. Too dumb to know what schools are actually rivals and which ones just kick his school's ass in the NCAA basketball tournament from time to time.superman;1739212 wrote:I haven't seen any Bobcat fans commenting on this. Why would they? -

I'm asking openly because I don't know. How was his relationship with the Admin/AD at Stanford? IMO, it's kind of comparing apples to oranges with San Francisco and Michigan. -
Dr Winston O'BoogieCowherd the glorified disc jockey is irrelevant. As a Buckeye, I am very optimistic about Harbaugh. Our rivalry with Michigan is meaningless if they aren't competitive. If you beat another team every single year, that's called Indiana, not a rivalry.
-
AutomatikI'm not really concerned with the rivalry if we're winning national titles. Fuck 'em.

This. Also, don't give a shit if we beat them by 1000 pts every yr, I still want to CRUSH them.Automatik;1743045 wrote:I'm not really concerned with the rivalry if we're winning national titles. Fuck 'em. -

Yep. If there's been one annoying thing about the current long-term win streak, it's that virtually every game is competitive despite Michigan not being that good in recent years. They seem to take the rivalry more seriously while you almost can get the idea OSU thinks victory is assured. I'd be very happy to see them come into this year's Michigan game with last season's "Final Four Intensity" and just murderize them.Commander of Awesome;1743107 wrote:This. Per http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/11625088/san-francisco-49ers-head-coach-jim-harbaugh-thrives-chaos-difficultyHis battles with the Stanford administrators, mostly over admitting qualified recruits, are legendary, and not missed, in Palo Alto, California. He'll burst into York's office at the crack of dawn with a problem that needs to be solved now. -
bigkahunaThat was actually a pretty good article about him. I guess the Stanford thing isn't that big of a deal because it sounds like he's fighting for a player to get admitted that he thinks is qualified and deserving of being accepted.

It's what coaches have to do at top notch schools typically. But of course they are always more lenient with athletes than the general public.bigkahuna;1743413 wrote:That was actually a pretty good article about him. That's fine. The Michigan game will become another "minnesota" game. People won't care about it in the long run. The reason this is a rivalry is because the teams have been historically matched. UM is the only team in the Big Ten with a winning record against Ohio State. The 10 year war was intense and exciting because everything was on the line for both teams. I personally hope UM gets back to relevance so this can be the case.Automatik;1743045 wrote:I'm not really concerned with the rivalry if we're winning national titles. Fuck 'em. -
TiernanThe CFB Playoffs will make "rivalry games" obsolete within a few years. I DGAF if scUM ever wins another game except if beating them gives us some swagger with the Selection Committee and in that regards I guess we need Harbaugh to fix whatever is the fkg problem up there.
