I do think OSU is getting the benefit of the doubt from being defending champs with a bunch of returning starters and also being undefeated so far this year. I have no explanation for bama. Frankly I'm a little annoyed they are grouping the sec with the B1G.
Yep, that argument ruined the whole theory for me.

Under the old system, Ohio State would still be #1 without a doubt. Under the new system, and we saw it last year, being the defending champion and being undefeated are rather irrelevant for better or for worse.

I hear people complaining about the top 4. I actually don't give a shit as long as OSU is in.

I'm open to playing anyone, but right now ND would be my first choice.

    Agree with all of this

    No, they would be #2.

But like auto said...all that matters is that there is a 1, 2, 3, or 4 before the words Ohio State.

No, they would be #1. Using a simulator is irrelevant because the coaches poll is now meaningless and therefore cannot be held constant to past coaches poll. Teams that are defending champions, started the next season at #1, and were undefeated, remained at #1 until they lost.

    Look it up. Nice try!

Unfortunately I don't think OSU makes it this year. This team has given me zero confidence they will survive unscathed over the next 4 weeks.

There's no chance OSU loses this year especially if Clemson and ND remain in the CFP pool. I think people are forgetting the sheer talent differential between OSU and the rest of the B1G that's accumulated over the last decade and even more so since Urban took over. Clemson and ND are on par with the average B1G recruiting teams too.

Alabama is probably the only team with a chance of making the CFP that has the talent level on par with OSU. However, we saw last year how the talent stacks up and if I'm Bama I wouldn't be at all confident in beating OSU. Yes, I understand the offense looks shaky and hasn't played well but I think over the course of the next few games we will start to see JT really turn up the offensive heat. It wouldn't surprise me at all to blow out both Michigan and MSU.

    Colorado up 17-3 on USC

Connor Cook appears to be hurt. This could be huge.

These refs in the Clemson/Cuse game are jokes

They are saying he was only held out of the 2nd half for precautionary reasons. But I feel like that might be a front.

Oklahoma State down 10 to Iowa State with about a minute to go in the 3rd. After TCU barely beat Kansas today, the Big 12 looking like garbage. I'm thinking Oklahoma beats Baylor tonight and any credibility the conference has is shot.

    Or Baylor wins by 28

    As are the Indiana/Michigan refs.

Not watching, but I'm hearing that is also true.

I've never actually seen a 30 yard penalty (two penalties), but these Cuse/Clemson refs made sure I did today.

I would take Oklahoma in a heartbeat if you're giving 28 points.

They let the Mich QB give himself up on a scramble slide a yard short of the first down line, yet gave him a first down.

Oklahoma State came back and then held on to beat Iowa State. They still have Baylor and Oklahoma left. I don't see them beating both.

I still think the Big 12 doesn't have an undefeated team by the end of the year.

    IU running all over Michigan.

    Harbaugh's going down to Indiana?
  • mhs95_06
    Mich for one or two?

Michigan is terrible. I love it!
  • sherm03
Wow. Can't believe Michigan scored there.

Looked like the kid was going to shank that EP and I was going to laugh my dick off.
