#18 Clemson (12-2) at #7 Duke (11-1)-- Sunday, 7:45 PM

Clemson travels to take on the Duke Blue Devils in the ACC opener for both teams.

I wish I had any confidence whatsoever in this game, but after the 27 point thrashing the Tigers gave the Blue Devils in the last meeting, combined with this game being at Cameron Indoor, I have no reason to believe the Tigers will come out victorious.

I can only hope my team plays hard and that the new freshman can get their feet wet in ACC play in a hurry so they can figure out where they need to step up their game.

    Any thoughts?

Go Clemson! Good luck at Tyler Hansbrough indoor stadium.

haha, I'd love to see Dook lose.

    For you, Ohiotiger! :)

Made my morning LTrain! I love that pic. I am only about 6 rows up from that overall dude.

When was the last time(besides State & Wake) that Clemson won an ACC game in the state of North Carolina?? Not trying to talk trash, just curious.
  • ohiotiger33
Lol well you have to include Wake and NC State.

But the other two? I would say 2006 with the clock malfunction (aka extra 3 secs for Duke). We lost, but look it up. It was a hose job. Before that, I really have no idea. I am just happy we don't play at UNC this year (Auto L on the sched).
  • wildcats20
Oooooh forgot about that 2006 game. Yeah that was a hose job.

I think Clemson gets it done tonight. And because of the dumb Cavs game, I won't get to see it.

I think they might mirror it on another channel. It is on my guide at 9, which would be halfway into the game. But I think it will be on another channel. If not, I am headed to BDubs I think.

Just noticed they are doing the same thing here.

Then back to C-Town SC tomorrow. Got a UNC game to camp for next week ;)

Clemson has never won at the Dean Dome and hasn't won at Cameron Indoor Stadium since '95, I believe. So, to answer your question wildcats, in terms of Carolina and Duke, not in 15 years.

I'm confident Duke will get it done tonight. Duke is almost unbeatable at home in ACC openers. But, I wouldn't be surprised if Clemson had a shot to win the game in the final minutes, especially after the confidence Oliver's boys will certainly have coming into Cameron after taking Duke to the shed in LittleJohn a year ago.

I've been looking forward to this night since March. It's about time, baby.

    Let the season begin.

Funny Carolina fans talking about a homering versus Clemson.
Larry Schyatt was forced to finish a game with 4 players because the Heels were getting so many foul calls

Do you mean they're putting it on an alternate channel? If so, which one? I'm not seeing it on my guide.

I meant a 9 after the Cavs coverage.

    Here's an online stream....

They are showing the OT of the Wake game for the moment, Duke game to follow.
  • ironman02
    Ok, thanks.
  • wildcats20
Wake/Xavier going to double OT in the Skip Prosser Classic(or whatever they are calling it).
  • wildcats20
    I've got a picture.

Go to channelsurfing.net and click on the Duke/Clemson link. It will redirect you to the game.

I'm getting a picture, but it doesn't really matter. Clemson is done.

The Tigers are shooting less than 20% from the field.
  • ironman02
Clemson holds Duke to 30 points in the first half and trails by 18. Unbelievable.

I'm sure Duke's defense has something to do with Clemson's shooting woes, but this is beyond ridiculous.
  • Leonardo
Clemson is 5-of-31 from the field.
  • reclegend22
I got it all -- sound, picture, loud noise, suffocating defense, Oliver wondering what's happening -- and it's been nice to watch.

Hopefully, Duke starts to find some more open looks. Credit the Tigers for one thing; they've really hindered Duke's perimeter attack. This has been good, too, as it has forced the Blue Devils to create things inside.

Duke's pressure D, on the other hand, has been outstanding. Clemson isn't getting anything.
  • reclegend22
And I'm officially done talking at half-time.

As I said pre-game, however, Clemson will be in this game until the final minutes, with a chance to win.
  • reclegend22
    ...or maybe vice versa.
  • wildcats20
Clemson on an 11-2 run to open the 2nd.
  • wildcats20
And just like the the Dookies open the lead back up to 17, 42-25.

very disjointed game. no real flow to speak of, Duke doing enough to stay in control. Clemson just can't seem to put together a major run to make it a tight ballgame.
