Tonight Tressel did the things people wanted to see more of all season. He was much more aggressive than we had seen the Buckeyes be this season. He let Pryor make plays. -
devil1197Tressel was sandbagging.

sportchamppsTressel has done what it took to win... When it is possible to avoid turnovers and run the ball he does that when we need to pass and open things up he does it.... He cant control turnovers (the purdue loss) or a team still geling and findind its identity(usc loss)

sportchamppsGreat play by Ballard by the way after Musberger talked about the tes being quiet

j_crazygreat win for the bucks, but I'm certain that we won tonight and very few things looked like Tressel-ball. Which confirms my grumblings earlier this season that the playcalling was hampering the offense. The defense was impressive great win for Buckeye Nation. Excited for 2010, bring on them Canes.

royal_kSpeaking of the Canes....that is the planned freehuddle get together.
-
hangonsloopyWhat a great game!
Go Bucks! -
PreacherSomeone needs to call PETA because OSU abused the Ducks tonight.lol

'06 didn't look much like Tressel ball either. I think Pryor has not been quite ready to be unleashed yet. He played much better tonight but still looked lost at times. I would love to see him just commit to running sometimes. He's a dual threat embrase it. Sometimes when he has wide open lanes he's still looking to pass and gets sacked when he could just go for 10-12 yards.j_crazy wrote: great win for the bucks, but I'm certain that we won tonight and very few things looked like Tressel-ball. Great win for the Buckeyes and I can see Pryor building on this to kick off a huge 2010 season -
darbypitcher22Some great pics there... Ballard is really off the ground there, I love basketball players.
This is what the Buckeye Nation had been waiting to see... we got a big lead, then we squeezed the life out of the clock and killed them up front in the 4th quarter.... I love the fact that we have the athleticism to make plays in the open field but we can also demoralize people up front -

Couldn't disagree more. Early in the season, Tressel was letting Pryor do too much. IT wasn't until after the Purdue "thud", that Tressel went to the strength of this team and Pryor...running the ball. Thats how they won out, and got to the Rose Bowl.j_crazy wrote: great win for the bucks, but I'm certain that we won tonight and very few things looked like Tressel-ball. Today, Tressel had NO CHOICE but to open things up as Oregon was stacking the line of scrimmage with up to 9 players. He adjusted to the defense. It was a no brainger.
I think Tressel made some major changes all season that put OSU in this successful situation this season, and today. And he should be given credit of doing what he did to put OSU where they are today. -
darbypitcher22When you throw 9 in the box it makses it easy to get to the edge; we did that well for a majority of the game(except for that damn slow developing read option)

DaBrowns41I'm just happy to get a BCS win for the first time since the Notre Dame game.
