MARCH MADNESS 2014 - NCAA Tourney Thread

reclegend22I think it's Gus Johnson, not Verne Lundquist.
-
Midstate01I think osu would have been OK. Shitty cuse is back.
-
MulvaAfter seeing that first half, I totally understand the thinking that OSU would have been rolled by this Syracuse juggernaut.
-
friendfromlowryAnnouncers: Eagle, Spanarkel and Johnson
Lundquist will have the MSU - Harvard game, though. -
reclegend22While Ohio State might have struggled to score since shooting over a zone is not their expertise, scoring period is not Syracuse's. It would've been a 48 to 44 game, last team with the ball wins.

I am positive that Verne Lunquist is calling the Syracuse game right now. Ian Eagle has a very distinct voice.friendfromlowry;1595082 wrote:Announcers: Eagle, Spanarkel and Johnson

ts1227Lundquist and Raftery are in Buffalo, Eagle and Spanarkel are in Milwaukee

Unlike Verne. I still can't tell if he's being serious. If you've seen the NCAA tournament any time in the past 15 years you should be able to recognize Verne and Raft.reclegend22;1595085 wrote:I am positive that Verne Lunquist is calling the Syracuse game right now. ts1227No way that's a flagrant
-
Midstate01Who'd have thought the Oregon vs wisky game would be the most exciting game of the day.
-
reclegend22I kind of thought it might since both Wisconsin and Oregon are offense-only teams lol. Hoping it stays close. It's been very entertaining thus far.
Nova-UConn should be the best game of the day. Really looking forward to that one. A great matchup of guard play. -

It is because that's the rule. -

Me, haha. That one and UConn-Nova were the 2 I was excited for today, but that was definitely number one. 2 teams that can score the ball, figured it would be a fun matchup.Midstate01;1595095 wrote:Who'd have thought the Oregon vs wisky game would be the most exciting game of the day. -
MulvaI swear this same thing happened with flagrants last year. You never see one during the season, and then you can't go a single game without one being called in the tournament.
-

Or I should say they way the call the rule.wildcats20;1595097 wrote:On Cooney?

ts1227Since the rule is written so vague ("excessive contact"), it's hard to say. I don't think that was excessive, elbows when you're moving the ball like that always look bad on the replay though

Not a shock. Probably the 2 best offensive teams left in the tournament.Midstate01;1595095 wrote:Who'd have thought the Oregon vs wisky game would be the most exciting game of the day. -
Azubuike24Michigan State with 6 field goals on 6 possessions. Just toying with Harvard's D. The Crimson hanging in though...
-
Azubuike24BTW, it's somewhat shitty to root for Joseph Young. It's BS that he's even on that court...absolute BS.
-
reclegend22Ennis needs to take this game over right here.
Dayton is red hot. -
Terry_TateBo Ryan in the NCAA tournament...
-
MulvaGreat play by Sibert.
-
Azubuike24Huge.
-
reclegend22Syracuse needs to check Preston Shumpert into the game.
