Welp Albany getting ALLLLLL in that ass so far. Really expecting Mount St. Mary's to win this one easily, but nope.

    21-2, 9 minutes in.

And just like that it's 21-20. Weird start.

Albany's, or UAlbany's, jerseys are GOD AWFUL

Also, why is this dude calling then UAlbany? Isn't Albany enough?

2 fouls on Warren in under 5 minutes. Yikes. NC State gonna be in some trouble.

Anyone else notice the announcer has been calling the little white guy on NC State (lewis) 'Warren' for the entire 2nd half?

Yeah he is terrible. He's pronounced Semaj Christon's last name like 3 different ways.

He was making my ears bleed.....could he be less prepared for this?
  • Ironman92
I think he is just calling everyone on NCS Lewis or Turner....saves a lot of memory for other stuff

This is the problem with letting Tru TV handle this.

I don't know who the play-by-play guy is (I know Dan Bonner is on color), but he sounds like a weatherman on lease from TWC.

Looks like N.C. State did in fact belong. Pack 74, Musketeers 59. ACC represents. Yes, it's only Xavier, but from the Big East, which has a higher RPI.

I could easily see State beating Saint Louis.

Did he really just say Saint Louist? Or was that just me?

Brian Anderson. Brewers PxP guy. Also does MLB Playoffs for TBS and Big 10 Basketball. He is pretty bad at basketball, better at baseball.

From reading Yahoo, looks like McCafferty's (Iowa coach) son is having surgery on (I think) his thyroid to remove a tumor which may or may not be cancerous today and then he'll be hoping logistics make it possible for him to coach tonight.

I'd heard about his son during the B1G tournament before their loss to Northwestern. With that in his life and the way the team collapsed down the stretch, you have to wonder if he's just had too much on his plate over the past couple months.

I could also see State defeating a St.Louis team that was less than impressive down the stretch, but that doesn't mean N,C.State belonged in the tournament. The invitation is based on a season long resume. Victories or losses in the tournament are irrelevant. If that were true then one could argue that highly seeded teams that lose to a lower seeded team didn't belong in the tournament.
