Azubuike24Lets keep it simple. We already had a clusterfuck of a league for the regular season fantasy game! Most points wins!

Azu the points multiplier was just for MVP stuff.Azubuike24;1591257 wrote:Lets keep it simple. We already had a clusterfuck of a league for the regular season fantasy game! Most points wins!
Haha I figured it was too much.Laley23;1591254 wrote:sounds good
Turtles, that is way to much. lol. I did simulations... -

This. We are making this way too complicated.Azubuike24;1591257 wrote:Lets keep it simple. We already had a clusterfuck of a league for the regular season fantasy game! Most points wins! -
SportsAndLadyI actually agree with azu even though he probably wasn't being serious. Why so many different winners? Most points wins 80% of the pot. 2nd gets 20%. Simple.
-
Azubuike24Definitely being serious. I mean, we could do a whole composite league like we did in the regular season, but it does become too complicated. Because it's a tournament format, there's a component of not only needing to put up points, but you need your team to advance. It's a simple game, but it does involve some strategy in drafting a team. I'm pumped!
-
Laley23More payouts just keeps this more interesting for people after the 1st round. Its really not that much...
-
Laley23Making it $25 was because we wanted more money for more games within the game. Otherwise, we wouldve just left it at $10 and winner take all.

I agree. Adding in most points per player, most points per round, best average...takes away from the point of the game--adding a good mix of players playing 4-6 games with players scoring 30 for 1-2 games.Azubuike24;1591263 wrote:Definitely being serious. Idk I just think we should keep it the way the game was intended to be. -

Was the game not that interesting? Lol I understand it makes the games more interesting for those who don't draft a good team, but why are we rewarding teams who don't draft well?Laley23;1591266 wrote:More payouts just keeps this more interesting for people after the 1st round. Azubuike24I'd be cool with giving people a few chances to get some of their buy-in back. However, the overall winner should be getting at least 60-80% of the pot. Something like 75% to the winner, money back to 3 other people for 2nd place, MVP and one other thing...
-
Terry_TateI understand what you guys are saying about keeping it simple, but I do think a few of Laleys would be fun. Highest individual game and most points for the tournament total would both be fun additions imo. I'm OK either way, but think having 2 or 3 side ones worth $25 would be fun. Maybe do 2 of them, leaves 250 which could be 200 to winner and 50 to second.
-
wildcats20It was $15 last year and I won $195.
-
Azubuike24I'd be cool with 200, 50, 25 and 25 or 225, 25, 25 and 25. Whatever the majority wants.
-
wildcats20BTW, I can do the scoring if wanted. I have a spreadsheet I used last year saved.
-
SportsAndLadyPaying $25 and winning $100 for the entire purpose of the tournament sounds really low.
-
Pick6don't mean to hi-jack wildcats spreadsheet, but I came across this article and thought you guys might like. Nice bracket/player tracker template microsoft offers

I would say its almost impossible to win the pot and not take home a some of the side bets.SportsAndLady;1591280 wrote:Paying $25 and winning $100 for the entire purpose of the tournament sounds really low. -
Laley23But, it seems we dont want this many.
So what about this.
200 for winner
40 for second
20 for MVP
20 for highest overall game
20 for highest overall scorer -
wildcats20How many rounds are we doing??
-
Laley23
As many as possible, but I think we want to get a minimum of 6.wildcats20;1591285 wrote:How many rounds are we doing?? -

I think the MVP is just too hard to say who should get it. Just take that 20 and give it to the winner. Maybe just to keep it simple go:Laley23;1591283 wrote:But, it seems we dont want this many.

You mean like increasing the number of playoff teams in the regular season league?SportsAndLady;1591269 wrote:Was the game not that interesting? Lol I understand it makes the games more interesting for those who don't draft a good team, but why are we rewarding teams who don't draft well? -
Terry_Tate
This deserves many reps, lol.Mulva;1591293 wrote:You mean like increasing the number of playoff teams in the regular season league?
I like 1st, 2nd, Most overall and Highest single game like ILT suggested. 25 each for the 2 side games then either 200-50 for first and second or 225-25 like ILT had. I propose 50 for second because it should be more of a reward than having the highest player or highest single game, but 225-25 wouldn't upset me at all. -
Terry_TateAlso, looks like we're not doing it but I am not a fan of limiting numbers of players with any stipulations. Just take whoever you want.

I don't mind the idea, but I don't think it's realistic. Would take way too long.Terry_Tate;1591297 wrote:Also, looks like we're not doing it but I am not a fan of limiting numbers of players with any stipulations. Just take whoever you want.
Don't care what the payout structure is, just have it finalized by 6.
