I live in the heart of $EC country and my co-workers absolutely love to trash talk Ohio State. I hear the "weak Big Ten", "Ohio State's schedule is a joke", and "Ohio State would be the 4th best team in the SEC and only because of Urban Meyer" comments almost every friggin day.
I had one guy ask me if I would have a meltdown if Ohio State went undefeated and got shut out of the NC. I told him hell no...I fully expect it to happen.
Everyone (well almost everyone) knows Ohio State has to CRUSH every opponent from here on out and get some help to make the NC.
Enter vball now to tell me to go away. lol -
ytownfootballLOL...two losses in the right games and they're in. No need for crushing anyone required, it would help but not a necessity.

SportsAndLadyOSU could beat every team by 70 and they're not jumping bama or Oregon. Maybe even Clemson (if they beat fsu).
OSU fans need to just relax and enjoy the season. No need to get anxiety because we only beat Iowa 42-13. -
ytownfootballI don't know any Buckeye fans that haven't resolved to be left out given the schedule/lack of B1G strength, good thing we have so many to remind us every fucking chance they get though lol

BigAppleBuckeyeThis has the makings of one of those games that is never in doubt, but OSU doesn't win as impressively as we all want them to. I am seeing something along the lines of 31-13, with Iowa hanging around a bit but OSU never feeling truly threatened. Granted, I will be rooting for a 56-0 beatdown, but I am hearing the weather is bad today (Columbus locals, how is it looking)?
Bold Prediction: Braxton Miller 300+ total yards and 3 TDs
On a Limb Prediction: Dontre Wilson 100+ total yards and a score
Weird feeling: Don't know why, but I see OSU getting a lot of pressure on the QB today ... I am calling 5-7 sacks! -

Pretty much. There are three things that could happen the rest of the way.SportsAndLady;1520023 wrote:OSU could beat every team by 70 and they're not jumping bama or Oregon. Maybe even Clemson (if they beat fsu).

1. Lose to a team on the schedule in what would be nationally considered a MAJOR upset at this stage of the game. National championship gone.
2. Win out, have the right teams lose at the right times and make the NC game.
3. Win out, but not have that stuff happen and end up in a different BCS bowl because a whole bunch of factors just happened to work against them (not sure how good Cali was when originally scheduled but they suck ass now that they're playing them; Vandy backed out to remove another meh major conference team; one 1-AA team on the schedule and the B1G as a whole is just subpar as hell compared to what it has been with things like Michigan being shocking mediocre (barely beating two dregs of 1-A and losing to Penn State), Wisconsin suffering a ref-aided loss, Minnesota being a paper tiger that feasted on a horrid non-conference schedule before being their usual chump self when conference games started, Northwestern bouncing back from a very competitive loss to Ohio State by utterly being bitch-slapped by Wisky, AND both Nebraska and Michigan State losing their only non-conference bout with a ranked team. During a season where they don't even play those latter two teams, which really hurts because they're two of the few B1G teams with actual value as an opponent.
Basically, all they can do is the best they can with the shit sandwich in front of them. All a person can really do is criticize them for having no good non-conference games (as opposed to the big-time program preferred one big game, one blah major conference game and two breathers). Not their fault the conference in general sucks -- all they can do is (hopefully) pulverize everyone and see how it all falls out. -

Cool and rainy and according to the radar, it'll be rainy for some time.BigAppleBuckeye;1520030 wrote:This has the makings of one of those games that is never in doubt, but OSU doesn't win as impressively as we all want them to. Awesome. So when it happens and you and everyone else starts ranting, crying, and lamenting about how the BCS, ESPN, CBS, NCAA, and the rest of college football nation "hates Ohio State and it just ain't fair" do I get to point back at this post and say, "But wait, I thought you had already accepted the inevitable"?ytownfootball;1520027 wrote:I don't know any Buckeye fans that haven't resolved to be left out given the schedule/lack of B1G strength, good thing we have so many to remind us every fucking chance they get though lol

And, let's be honest here for a minute, The Ohio State University goes undefeated, they'll be riding a 24 game winning streak...I nor anyone else will have any fucks to give what you or any other detractors have to say.believer;1520043 wrote:Awesome. Don't over estimate your "contributions", they're not worthy of note and are repetitive as hell. -

Sure. If you want to be known as Tiernan Jr. (old guy whose main purpose in life seems to be belligerently pointing out how he was "right" and deserves credit over random meaningless message board arguments).believer;1520043 wrote:Awesome. And if you want to be known as Tiernan Jr., I might suggest the possibility of euthanasia. Because it'd be the merciful thing to do. -
