    I love how ND fans got their panties in a bunch over a win over a 24th ranked PSU team. Really? You know its bad when they have to get all defensive over a mediocre victory of an average PSU team, seeing as that their greatest accomplishment in the past 20 years is a close loss to USC and a bowl victory against a 6-6 depleted Hawaii team.

    Underachieved is a bad word. I think ND has been doing very well for itself over the past 20 years, you can't really expect them to be competitive anymore. A 9 game bowl losing streak(NCAA record) is right about where I'd put a program of ND's stature at. Maybe next year they will lose another bowl game if they decide to accept it.

    My posts had everything to do with september63's inaccuracy. You want to keep shit factual, right? I was just doing my part in that regard. For the record, Penn State being ranked 24th/25th in the final poll of the '06 season doesn't make ND look any better.

    Unranked and being ranked 24 or 25 depending on the poll? Is being pretty petty over facts. Especially when the whole arguement started about them not beating Top 20, 10 or 5 teams in how long?

    last I checked my numbers............24 or 25 doesnt mean you were in the Top 20!!

    But the "numbers" do mean that they were in fact ranked. You said = Penn State finished 2006 unranked. Truth = Penn State did finish 2006 ranked. Details are important.....especially when you're talking about backing up your stats.

    In thinking about it, I will admit another thing about ND is that they have been one of the best NFL factories. Over the last 10 years not so much, but they've still put out quite a bit of talent.
