2013 NCAA Tournament Thread

Hey rec, guess what. Duke plays tomorrow night, LATE :) You mad?

Lets go Butler. Need some help in my group with the OK St and New Mexico fuck ups.

I think Butler is a better team, but maybe that's just my preference. I think Butler's shooting, as grock pointed out, will ultimately win out. This will go down to the wire, and the Bulldogs are one of the best finishing teams in the country in close games. They have an unbelievable knack for pulling these end-game situations out. Marquette could certainly win, but I'd put my money on Butler.

As I said in the Duke thread, playing Creighton in the middle of the night is a terrible matchup for Duke however you cut it. Creighton is already a really good team, and on top of it, Duke is playing them in the prime "upset" time slot. The late game.

A 10 p.m. tip only makes sense if they are playing the game in Anaheim.

I dont know why, but I love the name Junior Cadougan.

Butler can't afford to sit Clarke. Even for 2 minutes. Too offensively limited without him.

Marquette is such an unfun team to watch. Before somebody asks me why, they are on my I Hate This Team list, along with Pitt, Purdue, Louisville and Oklahoma. I hate watching those teams play with a passion.

Really want to see a Butler vs. Miami or Illinois game. Butler is like a guaranteed classic each and every time. And they have great shooters. It's always a fun watch, at least for me.

Marquette is just a blah team for me. I don't know why. I just don't like watching them. Davidson got fouled anyway at the end before that length-of-the-court pass that sailed out of bounds and Marquette should be at home right now. Oh well.

The officials in this Marquette/Butler game sure seem quick to call fouls on Butler but not Marquette.

Same in this gonzaga game. Gonzaga gets every call.

Butler fouls more than any team in the country, so maybe they are onto something :D:D

EDIT: I should say, gets away with more fouls

The A-10 might be done by the first weekend. I see Temple getting run by IU and Ole Miss over La Salle. If Butler loses here...
  • Azubuike24
That's a legit goal tend. Smith touched the rim/net.

Should have been an and 1.

I would say VCU gets away with more fouls. Shaka even admitted their success depends upon how lenient the refs are.

I think LaSalle had a chance if this was their 2nd game, but with it being their 3rd, I see tired legs.

That said, Ole Miss is pretty inconsistent, right? I ask cause you are the SEC guy who would know. They are on quite a run recently, and are due for a poor game.

Nah, offensive goaltend. Even a graze of the net will make it not count. Good call

Thats true. But they also get whistled for a lot. I think Butler gets away with murder on drives to the hoop and post play. For some reason, refs seem to let it go.

I would say they had their poor game against Wisconsin. The team depends on Henderson. He shot 6/21 and they still won. JMO

Not sure the ball was in the cylinder when he touched the net.

    Agree. I can't stand him.

oh, and fantastic call on the goaltend. That last replay they showed was a great angle.

It's a call that 95% of the time wouldn't be called in the first place. Give me a break.

I feel for Wichita. They are getting absolutely robbed by these officials.
