Uniforms 2013

    back pedalin' mofo.

Not at all. My original point was that I don't like how schools use the appearance of "patriotism" to promote "cool" unis. THis uniform business is all about "keeping up with the Jones'" for recruiting. "We're doing it for love of our service men and women" is a farce. It's just another excuse to showcase yet another new look (always accompanied by the two hands held together to form some shape of logo). There are plenty of people who do service to help Wounded Warrior and other worthy charities. This isn't that. This is all about "me, me, me".

I clarified my point not to back pedal, but to try to make it clearer for those struggling. Responese with offended patriotism indicated to me that there were some of you out there.

Thnk it was last year I read in SI about Okla State caoch. He was saying they had like 20+ diff uniform combinations they could wear. He had the SR's decide before the season what was worn for each game, becuase the last thing he wanted some kid to ask in practice is "what uniform we wearing this week"

But anyways...CFB has become a fashion statement. Thanks oRegon

You're right on the money. Uniforms are being turned into costume contests. My gripe with what Northwestern is doing is that they are using a patriotic cause as an excuse to showcase their newest, coolest costume.

I just saw a Sportscenter commercial introducing new uniforms for the sportscasters. Makes the costume point perfectly.

Basically just felt like, with a new job title, new marriage, and some other things I didn't have enough time to do a good enough job for the site, so I'd open the door for someone else.
