Craft is a big boy and can take a hard foul. I mean do you even watch basketball? Apparently giving a hard foul = throwing a punch in a game. No one is saying that but you are on your high horse again trying to pretend you care about the children, when in actuality you only care about advancing your self serving imagine with a patently false moral high ground. :thumbdown:WebFire;1395663 wrote:Izzo should have sent a guy in from the bench to foul Craft as hard as he could. -

Oh it is great strategy. Why foul if you aren't going to foul hard? :thumbup:WebFire;1395688 wrote:I was just suggesting good strategy. What is your problem? -

What did he say that isnt 100% true? MSU might not make the Final Four, but they will be a popular pick and certianly have the team to do it. The statement on Crafts is 100% true.Ironman92;1395529 wrote:Please..... -

Exactly, as there's nothing worse than a touch foul that results in a +1. As far as fouling Craft hard, imo it wouldn't change a thing-he's one of the toughest players in the game.sleeper;1395705 wrote:Oh it is great strategy. Why foul if you aren't going to foul hard? -

Exactly, when you're picking final four teams, Izzo's Spartans are a pretty safe bet.

Craft is a tough kid, both mentally and physically. If anyone could take a tough foul and not let it shake him, it's Craft. -

I was agreeing. Lol
Craft is pretty key when he can get to the rim and he's beyond limited jacking 3's or really about any jump shot. Yesterday's Aaron Craft was great and a joy to watch. -
Terry_Tate
Yep. I'm probably the biggest Craft "hater" on here in that I think he's been trying to play beyond what his role should be too much, but yesterday was by far the best I've seen him. It's only one game so I'm going to stay cautious, but that was what this team has needed out of Craft. Lot better than him chucking 3's and runners in the lane.Ironman92;1395870 wrote:I was agreeing. I mean Craft is a tough kid, but let's not make him out to be a Teflon Don. If, for example, Reggie Johnson decided he wanted to teach him a lesson, Craft would be laying flat on the floor like a starfish. Just sayin'.vball10set wrote:As far as fouling Craft hard, imo it wouldn't change a thing
He's a gritty and downright mettlesome player, though, no denying that. -

He was an all state running qb in high school, not sure there are more than very few cbb players who could "teach him a lesson". The guy is just straight up tough. Running for 6800 yards in 3 years as a starting QB says it all. -

He may end up flat on the floor, but he'd jump right back up and be ready to go down the lane again. I'm not saying he's unique this way, but he's a throwback to a tougher era. The kid's a bull.reclegend22;1395943 wrote:I mean Craft is a tough kid, but let's not make him out to be a Teflon Don. I'd agree with that, which is why my example was a 6-foot-10 300-pounder. That I agree with also. But the way you phrased it you made it sound like, despite any contact that comes Craft's way, he'll still make the shot and probably even dunk it. Haha.He may end up flat on the floor, but he'd jump right back up and be ready to go down the lane again. I'm not saying he's unique this way, but he's a throwback to a tougher era. He's just the kind of guy who, unless he is physically unable to, will be back down the floor on defense no matter what. No matter if the guy fouling him is 5'2 150 or 7ft 325.reclegend22;1395956 wrote:I'd agree with that, which is why my example was a 6-foot-10 300-pounder. Lol.

6,000 of those were probably against Vanlue.LJ;1395945 wrote:He was an all state running qb in high school, not sure there are more than very few cbb players who could "teach him a lesson". The guy is just straight up tough. Running for 6800 yards in 3 years as a starting QB says it all. -

Terry_TateJust as I'm typing that Lenzelle is about to have his 1 in 6 good game he bricks a dunk. SMH.

Terry_TateCraft and Scott absolutely have to be on the floor together now IMO. Defensively they are dynamite and offensively they aren't real shooting threats but when they're on the floor together they put up good A/T numbers.

Tiger2003I can't stand watching Northwestern play basketball.
-
Tiger2003Smith making it rain.
-
Terry_TateGlad Lenzelle decided to play tonight.
I hate the games against Northwestern, always too close -
Tiger2003Nice play by Scott.
-
Terry_TateI'll take a win at Northwestern any day with how things are going this year. Thank goodness Lenzelle Smith showed up to play, though. Seems like Craft Scott and Thomas should be on the court at least 30 minutes a game and then beyond that it should be whoever is doing well. Overall was a tough win and I just hope gritting out wins like that prepares them for March. Next game at Indiana will be a bitch though.

stlouiedipalmaDid anyone notice how Thad was getting into Ravenel's face when he pulled him down the stretch. I haven't seen Matta get that heated in quite some time.
