11/10: #4 Notre Dame def. Boston College, 21-6
-
sjmvsfscs08Well I will bet the farm that Notre Dame doesn't show up like they did against Pittsburgh. What a scare that was. Boston College is rather terrible (compared to Pittsburgh's mediocrity), and I'm guessing that the Irish will come out pissed off this time around.
The BC QB is actually having a fine season, with ~2600 yards 16 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. They are the 27th best passing offense, which matches up better with ND than most opponents.
Boston College rushes for an average of 75 yards per game. That is terrible and I wouldn't be surprised if they ran for a total of zero yards.
Brian Kelly vs Boston College:
2010: W 31-13
2011: W 16-14
It's a rivalry game, and the last two times Notre Dame started 8-0, the streak was eventually ended by Boston College (14-7 in 2002, 41-39 in 1993). So throw the records out the window. Notre Dame leads the series 12-9, after losing six straight from 2001-2008.
I'll guess that Notre Dame wins 42-10. -

Midstate01Nd needs to win this one BIG. Or they're gonna lose votes. They have to hammer these bad teams with so many other undefeated teams.
-
athlete37I actually think this will be the week one of the top three loses and we move up a spot.

good chance that Optimus Klein won't be playing this week -

Yea, supposedly he couldn't even recall scoring a touchdown when they were evaluating him. Sounds like a heavy concussion.I also think Bama is setup for a tough one with what appears to be a hot Texas A&M team coming into town after Bama's big road win over LSU. Letdown week?karen lotz;1312624 wrote:good chance that Optimus Klein won't be playing this week -

From reading things on twitter, it sounds like a mild concussion for Klein, but they may still not play him. -

Not good. Even with him playing, I thought K-State would have a tough time in Ft. Worth.karen lotz;1312624 wrote:good chance that Optimus Klein won't be playing this week -

sleeperCount me in as someone who wants to see ND go undefeated only to get left out of the BCS championship game and lose their BCS bowl game by an average of 24.33
-
sherm03I think ND takes some aggression out on the Eagles this week.
ND wins, but won't cover the spread. -

Providing 'Bama and Oregon remain undefeated, this will happen...and the way ND's charmed season has been going, I wouldn't count on the second part of your post happening--jmo.sleeper;1313141 wrote:Count me in as someone who wants to see ND go undefeated only to get left out of the BCS championship game and lose their BCS bowl game by an average of 24.33 -
sleeperI think we see 6 teams undefeated this year. OSU, KSU, Bama, ND, Oregon, and Louisville. It'll be Bama and Oregon in the title game. ND will play KSU(and lose by a lot).

I disagree. I do not think that many undefeated teams make it through the year. I could see OSU, KSU, ND, and Louisville all dropping a game before the end of the season. I could also see Bama losing in the SEC championship.sleeper;1313151 wrote:I think we see 6 teams undefeated this year. OSU, KSU, Bama, ND, Oregon, and Louisville. In the end, I think we MIGHT see three undefeated teams. But I think we'll likely only see two by the time we head to the BCS selection show.
Also, for the last part of your statement...out of the other three undefeated teams at the top of the rankings, I think ND matches up best with KSU. They are the only one that I feel good about an ND win in a bowl game. I think ND gets handled by Bama or Oregon. But I think they have a good shot at beating KSU. -
sleeperI don't think ND has the offense to play in a shoot out with KSU. KSU has a trash defense(best in the SEC East though) but even with that, do you really think the QB carousal at ND is going to be able to sustain multiple scoring drives? KSU will put up 50+ and I don't see ND with the same output.

I think ND's defense is solid enough to not allow KSU to put up 50+.sleeper;1313156 wrote:I don't think ND has the offense to play in a shoot out with KSU. But this is a conversation for another time. ND has to get through the next three games before they can worry about who they are playing in a BCS game. -
dlazzKSU will lose in the next two to three weeks.
