#1- Not North Dakota.
#2- Lucky Charms -
believerUnless OSU would findssome way to plug the glaring holes at linebacker, ND would win this one...but not by much.

vball10setYou never know, so I picked OSU....but I sure as hell wouldn't put $$$ on it

RotinajND by about 10.

Fly4FunI immediately picked ND as I like ND's D and detest OSU's.
But I think OSU could come away with the victory. ND has been quite good, but has struggled too (see Purdue).
I don't think the advantage for ND is as big as it seems as a result of yesterdays games for both teams. -
Terry_TateThis would be a very good game. I think Ohio State has the best offense ND would have faced, so I see them doing about what Michigan did only getting some TDs and putting up 20-24 points. The question would be how bad can Notre Dames offense destroy the Ohio State defense? That's what would scare me.
-
cats gone wildI think OSU would do well against the Big 12 this year. They score alot of points and give up alot. But, I think they match up well with how A&M (SEC) has been playing.
-
Azubuike24I dislike both teams. However, I'd give the edge to Notre Dame. Their offense is average, but it could move the ball against OSU. OSU would struggle against ND's defense.
-
sjmvsfscs08I don't think it would be that close. Notre Dame's offense has been average due to young quarterback play, but I would still take it over the offenses from California or Indiana.
I'd bet the line would be ND -6, but I think the score would be about 27-10. -

But at the same time, see Central Florida Cal, Michigan State, Indiana, and UAB. The only game OSU hasn't struggled in was Miami and Nebraska.Fly4Fun;1294826 wrote:But I think OSU could come away with the victory. ND has been quite good, but has struggled too (see Purdue).
Based off yesterdays games?? When one struggled against ranked Stanford and the other struggled against a terrible Indiana team??Fly4Fun;1294826 wrote: I don't think the advantage for ND is as big as it seems as a result of yesterdays games for both teams. -
goosebumpsI chose ND, but right now isn't their QB semi-questionable after suffering a concussion? I think with a healthy Golson ND wins, I've never thought much of Tommy Rees. and know little to nothing about Andrew Hendrix other than how good he was in HS.
-
athlete37Ohio State's offense is light years ahead of Notre Dame's, yet Notre Dame scored more points against their only common opponent and took knees inside the red zone of that game?? *Scratches head*

Pick6go back in your hole's ND fans. They only reason you are still undefeated is because of a joke of a call.

First off, there was not enough evidence to overturn it and most of what I've seen people say is it could have went either way and was not clear cut. There simply was not inconclusive evidence to overturn the original call. Furthermore, if the call goes Stanford's way...they still had an XP to make and then another overtime to play (in which they would have had the ball first so ND would have got the last chance to score and would've known what they needed to do) so to say ND is only undefeated because of a call is false. Who knows how things play out if that close call goes Stanford's way instead of ND's.
I guess you know how it would have turned out though. If your prediction would have been as accurate as your Troy Smith one I think ND would have been in good shape.
As for the thread question...who knows. I think either team could beat the other. They have different strengths so it would be an interesting matchup. We'll never know though. -

I think my "too" was ambiguous. I was stating that ND has struggled against sub-par teams like OSU has. But some of OSU's struggles can be explained away by getting used to a new system for the offense (The early games). the two past defensive performances though aren't as forgivable in my eyes at least. I know that we're hurting at the LB spot. It was a weak spot on the defense before people started getting injured, now it's a glaring hole as we're really thin too. Hopefully that can stabilize though.GoChieffs;1295552 wrote:But at the same time, see Central Florida Cal, Michigan State, Indiana, and UAB. Yes, Sports are a what have you done for my lately deal with fans. And in a vacuum it looks like ND is much better than OSU since ND beat a ranked team while OSU struggled against yesterday. That's part of the reason this poll was thrown up.
But I don't think ND is really that much better than OSU. OSU just struggled this past game so it looks bad.
But ND and OSU have had comparable schedules with comparable results.
Both teams only have one road test (MSU) and both won (ND more convincingly).
Both teams also have a (not close) win over a rand opponent (Nebraska and Michigan).
ND does have 1 more ranked win but it was an OT game with a questionable call (Stanford). But a win is a win. And this gives ND an edge, rightfully so.
My point is that OSU could win. But so could ND. My post was more about that the initial quick reaction after Saturdays games is that ND would stomp OSU. But in reality this is football where the better team on paper doesn't always win. -
GoChiefsI get what you're saying now. I read it as you didn't think ND was much better based off of just yesterdays games, and that seemed kind of absurd. I do agree with you about ND not being much better than OSU.

Haha, ND goes 6-0 against great traditional teams but not very good current teams...and they're going to beat OSU by 17 points? Riiiightsjmvsfscs08;1295551 wrote:I don't think it would be that close. They couldn't even beat Purdue by 17. Or Michigan. Or Stanford. -

I don't doubt they could beat OSU by 17 at this point, but I think the score would be much higher.SportsAndLady;1295654 wrote:Haha, ND goes 6-0 against great traditional teams but not very good current teams...and they're going to beat OSU by 17 points? Riiiight
