agreed. use to mean that you did something truly great and unexpected.

Russ Smith missed five buzzer beaters in the game and shot 4 for 21.

There is seriously a thread on one of the UL message boards titled "Russ Smith better than John Wall?"

Just can't see them doing it without running more through Behanan and even Harrell at times. Behanan has actually shocked the hell out of me how athletic and how much spring he has for a big guy. They talked about Anthony Bennett reminding people of Larry Johnson. Behanan is almost a mirror image.

Rec can chime in after he watches his VHS tapes of Grandma-ma's Rebel games.

By that version of the definition, you can definitely expect another court rushing if Notre Dame wins more than one game in the tournament.

    and if Duke beats Lehigh

Rec isn't a ND hater...I know he loves Brey.

Good one. But here are Notre Dame's finishes in the Fighting Irish's last 8 NCAA Tournament appearances (using the old round-by-round method), starting with 2001: 2nd round, 2 round, sweet 16, 1st round, 2nd round, 1st round, 2nd round, 1st round.

that's fine, Notre Dame winning 2 games in the tournament happens with about the same frequency as Duke beating Lehigh.

While I think Brey is a good guy (and appreciate his contributions to Duke) and I am not a Notre Dame hater, based on the NCAA results I posted above, I hope Brey never visits the Duke campus again (at least not a head coach).

Nor would Duke be dumb enough to hire him...

I know, I'm not mad. Its pretty obvious they struggle mightily in the tournament. Just like Duke struggles with Lehigh. Good one to you too.

I'd chuckle if CJM returns, Lehigh ends up winning The Patriot League and gets a first round rematch with Duke.

I wouldn't put it past the committee...

This is true. But, being that Duke will almost certainly keep the job in the family, there are actually Duke fans who have it pinned down to either Mike Brey or Jeff Capel. Either of those hires would be outrageous. And neither will happen. I just wanted to throw my feelings out there, though.

We don't need to turn this into a Duke thread, though, so I digress.

As for Duke being paired back up with Lehigh, all I have to say about that is I hope Lehigh doesn't win the Patriot tournament...

Hahaha karen is so mad at so many comments.

    What a pathetic human being.

You're right, I'm furious about a Duke fan making a joke about another team's tourney failures.

I wish I was as not pathetic as you are.

I thought you were a Buckeyes basketball fan?

Epic choke job by Louisville. Notre Dame's admission standards are so stringent Mediocre Mock Brey can't get past Old Dominion or a lousy Xavier team in the 1st round of the NCAA tournament. I'll begin taking ND basketball seriously when the administration does. Another great fools gold win tonight by ass hat Brey. Looking forward to not winning the Big East, Big East tournament, nor advancing to the 2nd weekend of the dance yet again.

not sure what that has to do with the current conversation, but I like to see them do well.

I don't think admission standards have anything to do with it. Its probably more a combination of the top players not wanting to have to go to a school where academics are taken as seriously and the administration not wanting kids who are one and done. They have the 15th ranking incoming class in the country on ESPN with a 5 star and two 4 stars, which isn't too bad and probably the best class Brey has brought in. They pulled in some decent talent last year in Biedschied, Auguste, and Burgett. They probably won't win the Big East, BE tourney, or any tournament games unless they get a really good draw. At least you won't be let down by expecting more?

keep the good posts coming man, really adding to the conversation by doing nothing but posting about me.

James Southerland back for Syracuse. That's big news for the Cuse who may actually start some momentum heading toward March, unlike the last 2 years where they have entered the tournament slightly weakened.
