Sweet 16 at best.Tiger2003;1385863 wrote:Is Miami really this good? What kind of tourney run are y'all expecting? -
Azubuike24Easy money.
Northeastern is 10-1 in the CAA, Old Dominion is 1-10. Northeastern -2.5. Shocking spread. I could care less about this game but I'm betting $20 on it. Go Huskies haha. -
reclegend22I recall Laley and I being mocked here before the ACC-Big Ten Challenge when we predicted Miami to beat Michigan State. I stand by my statement earlier this week that Miami could be the best team in the land. Larkin, Scott and Kadji are a dynamite trio -- at 6-11, super athletic and efficient out to 22 feet, Kadji is an opponent's worst nightmare -- and then you have an All-ACC first team caliber center in the post in Reggie Johnson, who is not yet at full health. The Hurricanes are rolling through the ACC. Like others, I am very impressed with what Jim Larranaga has done.
With that said, I also predicted North Carolina to cover the spread today and am about to be in dead last in Az's pick 'em challenge. -
SportsAndLady7-1 on my 12 game parlay so far...need bowling green and marquette to pick it up

Fun fact.SportsAndLady;1385877 wrote:7-1 on my 12 game parlay so far...need bowling green and marquette to pick it up
DePaul is 6-75 in their last 81 Big East games. About to be 6-76 after Marquette wins this. Staggering. -

Pretty sure that's no good.SportsAndLady;1385877 wrote:7-1 on my 12 game parlay so far -
Azubuike24Going 7-1 on a parlay just means you're dumb for tempting such long shot odds. Should've just bet all 8 individually.
-
reclegend22Let's go Jayhawks. I decided to take a small bet on them with a chance at a quick $50. I figured Self would simply kill them if they lost today.

That's not a good bet..come on Rec, check w/ me before you bet on KU. Oklahoma, a decent team, wiht 4 points at home is easy money.reclegend22;1385886 wrote:Let's go Jayhawks. SportsAndLadyI'm 8-2 on my progressive parlay. If I lose my last 2, I lose my money. If I win both, I win 10:1. If I lose 1 of 2, I win 3:1.
Oklahoma +4.
Denver Nuggets -5.5 -

Eh, Kansas has the talent to cover five points at Oklahoma. I really thought that they would come out with a vengeance after what happened in Texas. When is the last time Kansas lost three in a row? The 1600s?SportsAndLady;1385891 wrote:That's not a good bet..come on Rec, check w/ me before you bet on KU. Oklahoma, a decent team, wiht 4 points at home is easy money.
I knew it would be a tightly contested game, so it was certainly a risk. I lost. -
sportswizuhrdTwo of the top 5 scorers in the nation going 1-on-1 today in the Summit league. Oakland's Travis Bader (5th - 21.8 PPG, had a 47 point game earlier with 11 3's) and Nate Wolters (4th at 22.2 PPG and coming off a 53 point game). This game is on FSN Detroit and yes I am watching because these teams are never on tv and might help me in tourny contests come March. Hah.

sportswizuhrdArkansas beat Florida pretty bad the other night(much worse than the final margin) and then lose at Vandy by 18.
Which is more correct?...
A)Arkansas is great at home and bad on the road.
B)Vandy is bad in general but good at home.
C)Arkansas didn't care about today's game and were still riding the high of beating the #2 team in the nation.
D)A combination of all 3. -

Azubuike24Arkansas has 1 win away from Bud Walton Arena since the beginning of the Mike Anderson era.
They were 1-11 last year on the road/neutral.
They are 0-8 this year on the road/neutral. -
Azubuike24This would be a huge win for Oklahoma's tourney hopes. Iowa State, Baylor and Oklahoma. Who wants the 4th bid for sure from the Big XII.
-
Tiger2003Kansas loses 3 straight for this first time since 2005. In that year Oklahoma was the third team to beat them as well.
-
Azubuike24Huge win for OU.
Memphis wins at Southern Miss, that likely clinches C-USA for Memphis, possibly even an unbeaten conference season. An under the radar team right now. -
Tiger2003I hate the overrated chant. Takes away from your teams win.
-
Azubuike24If they call this a flagrant, it may give KU a shot...

Not counting Miami since they just accomplished it right haha? But before that I don't think anyone had.Azubuike24;1385871 wrote:Trivia.
Name the last team, if any, to beat UNC and Duke by 25+ in the same season...
As for Miami I see the getting to at least the sweet 16 wouldn't be surprised if they made it to the final four though. -
Azubuike24I don't know the answer. Obviously Miami just did it. Curious if anyone else did it before then.

I know Maryland beat both of them big in 74-75 or 75-76 but I don't think it was 25+, think it was more of 20+. I know this is the first time ever in ACC play that it has happened.
