Pick6remember the talks of OU going undefeated and them having an "easy" MAC schedule..yikes

Midstate01Or being the next Boise... My hardcore ou friends kept texting me that and how I was lucky osu didn't play ou this year. Oh and how much of a boner they get watching the marching 110...

JugheadIt quit being easy once we quit running our quick snap offense. 70 offensive plays in a game with this defense isn't going to win a damn thing. To be honest, OU needs to be running around 100 plays because they simply aren't wearing down the opposing team's defensive line like they were.

Pick6I'm pretty pumped at how good the MAC is as a whole this year. The conference really seems to be improving.
The only dislike I have about it is dealing with Akron's program. People think we are not any better, and record wise we are not, but you can tell the team is better. It just hurts builiding the program with recruiting and fan support. The loss to UMass was pretty disappointing, though. There are actually some fans wanting to give up on the "FBS experiment" and wanting to drop down to FCS smh. -

And now we're going to probably lose 3 straight to end it... oops.
A lot of it was injuries (namely our entire secondary is backups), and the MAC schedule was favorable. The team flat out choked in November.
I think Kent can clinch the East with a win Saturday -

I'm pretty curious to see how Kent stacks up against NIU. I think NIU takes it to them, but you never know in the MACts1227;1320670 wrote:And now we're going to probably lose 3 straight to end it... oops.

I wouldn't be surprised if they upset my Rockets next TuesdayPick6;1320616 wrote:I'm pretty pumped at how good the MAC is as a whole this year. The conference really seems to be improving.

thavoiceAny word on how bad Wenning was hurt last night for Ball State?
Glad he is doin well. Kid was also a stud on the diamond. -
Pick6
I would. Bowden has done a great job keeping them motivated throughout the season, and could play it off as our "bowl game". Toledo has to be down after the past few weeks. However, chances our we will be starting our freshman QB in preparation for next season. He should have seen time earlier, but TB decided to go with the FCS career back up all season. He has done alright..but isnt really a good player. The system has made him look better than he is, IMO.vball10set;1320705 wrote:I wouldn't be surprised if they upset my Rockets next Tuesday -
vball10set^^^You obviously know a helluva lot more than I do about Akron, but I was referring more to UT's defensive deficiencies and lackadaisical play of late, and less about Akron's ability talent-wise to pull off the upset.

Agreed. I didn't realize that the Bobcats had 11 guys injured. 9 were starters in the Penn State win. They also lost at least 2 more last night.ts1227;1320670 wrote:And now we're going to probably lose 3 straight to end it... oops.

No excuses though. The Bobcats coughed up an embarrassingly big hairball in the last few weeks.
I hope the roundballers ease the pain. -

So do I. I hope they're motivated by how they got no real poll love despite being in the Sweet 16 last year and returning everyone but their head coach and use that to steamroll as many teams as possible. Just like Portland.believer;1321099 wrote:Agreed. I didn't realize that the Bobcats had 11 guys injured. 9 were starters in the Penn State win. They also lost at least 2 more last night.

Pick6Akron @ Toledo on ESPN2 tonight.
A birdy told me Toledo's starting QB and RB are out tonight. Could the Zips get that elusive 2nd win? -

As well as just about anyone who watches college football. Of every single score this season, that might be the most mindboggling.FairwoodKing;1326261 wrote:That makes two of us. -

Pick6I dont think Hazell will be at Kent much longer. What he has done with that program in 2 years is nothing short of amazing.

Agree. I was talking to some Kent people today and they know he's gone soon. The only way to get a good coach that will stay in the MAC is to go the Solich (and maybe Bowden too?) route with an older BCS coach looking to build up a school for a retirement job -

Quality coach, quality man, good assistant coaching resume. Agree.Pick6;1327290 wrote:I dont think Hazell will be at Kent much longer. What he has done with that program in 2 years is nothing short of amazing.
