I have a bad feeling about this game. Our defense is not improving and I can see Sparty running it right down our throats.

Believe it or not, I'd feel worse about it if it were at home. I think the hostile enviro will give us a jolt, especially our defense.

    Sparty 17

Could go either way. I'll give a slight edge to Sparty being at home.

Slight edge to the Spartans. They won't be able to run the ball, but if they can pass at all they will win. I don't think Ohio State can score often on these guys, the front seven is outrageous and the corners are very solid.

This is just what the Buckeyes needed a game that means something. The Bucks by 10

This is the worst buckeye defense I have seen in a long time...I will go with sparty by 6.

If the OSU run defense steps up I think OSU wins. If Everett Golson can do enough for ND to beat them Miller should be able to do the same. If the run D slows them down, they have no way of scoring.

End of Line, kudos for knowing the record of our opponent and putting it in the thread title...reps.

I keep thinking Meyer is gonna unveil the full arsenal of this offense, but I just don't think this offense will be good this year. The defense is turrible, and unless they step up, I see Sparty taking this one by 10.

It's odd to me how they have at times struggled to get a first down this year, but all of the sudden when they need it they can march right down the field and score.

It's almost like Meyer says "okay, let the horses out to run", and then after we score a couple of times, it's like, "okay, back in the barn".

Ohio State 24-21, on the legs of Braxton Miller. I think Ohio State will play a little better in a game that means more but I expect Michigan State to have some success running Bell (about 125 yds.) if they can hold him to that, I think OSU can win.
  • Terry_Tate
I think this could really be Braxton's coming out party. No chance they win if he struggles and he's a big time player so I think he'll have a good day. Michigan States offense is 97% Bell and 3% Sims so as long as Ohio State keeps Bell in check they will shut down MSU as they have no vertical passing attack.

Before MSU struggled with EMU, I would have picked them without thinking twice. Now I am thinking twice. Should be a good game, but I still think MSU gets the win, though not by much.

Excited and nervous about this game. Hopefully hall and Smith can get the running gsne going and the defense down Msu running the ball and a couple turnovers.

Sounds like Hyde will be back.

Michigan States offense is the perfect prescription for Ohio States defense

I agree with this to a point. Yes our secondary blows, thus we'd rather face a team that runs. But, our tackling is ungodly awful. So if Bell gets through the D-Line, he could have a huge game. Our linebackers aren't tackling him and the DB's just trying to put a shoulder into him isn't going to work either.
I do think our D line will do a good job though, he might break a big one here and there, but for the most part held in check.

My expectations are so low for this game (I had it as a loss at the start of the season, first away game, first conference game), but with the OSU offense being meh, and with MSU's defense, and the shaky special teams, I do not see a win.

I think OSU can make it a game, but the offense being inconsistent and the defense giving up big plays and not sound fundamentally, I see MSU running away with it late.

Now, I'll miss the game mostly, friends wedding, so if they win, it is a great surprise.
