9/22: #16 Ohio State Buckeyes (3-0) vs. UAB Blazers (0-2) [12:00, BTN]
-
AutomatikUAB must be bad this year. CBS Sports have them ranked #113 out of 124.
OSU is -36.5
o/u 57.5
OSU didn't cover the last two games. Even though UAB blows, I'd probably stay away from this.

FatHobbitI have no fake money left to bet because Pitt fucked me.

vball10setBucks to win, and that's all I'll say about that.

Interesting. Didn't OSU have some ridiculous cover streak during Tressel's tenure?Automatik;1274404 wrote:OSU didn't cover the last two games. Even though UAB blows, I'd probably stay away from this.
Can that be because of the play style or how the people perceive the coaches and their effectiveness (overrating meyer while underrating tressel?)? -
Automatik
Yeah, his cover percentage was crazy good. I saw an article about it when the streak was still going on. I'll try to find one.Fly4Fun;1274460 wrote:Interesting. Didn't OSU have some ridiculous cover streak during Tressel's tenure?

AutomatikNot the exact article I was referring to, but one discussing OSU covering the spread under JT.

End of LineDefense better be improved.

How will we be able to tell against a team like this? Same as last week when Michigan played UMass. Some of the Wolverine fan were saying how someone besides Denard was able to have a goodgame running the ball, and I thought I would F------ hope so against that kind of competition. Same this week for the Bucks, you won't know anymore after the game than you did before.End of Line;1274633 wrote:Defense better be improved. -
MulvaUAB is bad every year. I would say osu by 4-5 TDs.

AutomatikNot blowing coverage in the secondary for the 4th week in a row would be a plus.

WebFireScrimmage before the real games start.

Indeed.Automatik;1275025 wrote:Not blowing coverage in the secondary for the 4th week in a row would be a plus.
For me, it's open-field defense in general. Seems like for the past two weeks, I've noticed guys on the other team getting to the outside into open field and just outrunning the defense for big gains. Don't know if it's being too aggressive towards the interior defensively, poor positioning or just horrible pursuit; but it's something that needs improved on. -

That's hard to believe. I wonder what the spreads were though for a lot of the games, if the we only 5-10 points most of the time it would be easier to believe.Automatik;1274470 wrote:Not the exact article I was referring to, but one discussing OSU covering the spread under JT.

xKoToVxSyNdRoMeI would like to see Spence play more this week, at least in passing situations. I understand he is a little small still and a freshman, but he has looked very explosive off the edge. With the depth they have at D-line, it seems like it would be helpful to rotate often to keep them all fresh and get the younger guys as much experience as they can before the schedule gets harder.

I'm definitely UAB and the points. Wish I bet more often... would have been on the winning side the past two weeks (i.e., taking the points). Not sure why, but everyone keeps putting absurd lines that OSU has no business covering.Automatik;1274404 wrote:UAB must be bad this year. CBS Sports have them ranked #113 out of 124.

I really think it's due to people overestimating Meyer & his offense and underestimating Tressel & his defense.Fly4Fun;1274460 wrote:Interesting. Didn't OSU have some ridiculous cover streak during Tressel's tenure?

imex99During Urbans call in show today, he stated that Rod Smith has earned some playing time this week. From his special teams play and hard practice, he will get to touch the ball this week.

Not so sure this is the case, as it's about personnel and learning new schemes..there's a learning curve for everyone involved.Scarlet_Buckeye;1275321 wrote:I really think it's due to people overestimating Meyer & his offense and underestimating Tressel & his defense. -

Big GainIt makes NO sense playing Hankins at DE in obvious passing situations. He has no speed rush, one dimensional on the outside.
